I posted this in the thread, but I think it got lost so I'll try again. Can you make the baking soda mix up in a larger batch and just shake it up and use it as you need it? I thought if that was an option, I'd put it in a clear plastic bottle and, with a permanent marker, put a line for each "batch" so I wouldn't overuse.
By the way, I'm on my 4th day and no problems. I'd been experiencing flat hair lately and it hasn't helped that, but neither was my more expensive shampoo, so there's no negatives I can see. I'm sold!

Patti, I just did this by accident. I tried to make the shampoo balls, which meant I started out with a half cup of water, and added a tsp of honey. Next step was to pour in enough baking soda to form a paste and then roll that into balls. Well, I didn't have enough baking soda left and I ended up with a cup full of sludge. I poured it into the empty honey bottle and this morning I shook it up and used it. Worked fine, and will probably be good for several days of hair-washing. I wouldn't try to make up too much at once, though. I imagine bacteria would start to grow.
And thanks, Tasha, for starting this whole ball rolling! I'm having a lot of fun with it and my hair looks good, too. |

I just mix the baking soda and water in a shampoo bottle (I don't use the honey or anything), then shake and use for a week or more. Works great for hubby and me!
~Ricki~ You can't pour anything out of an empty vessel, take care of yourself! |

a little off topic, but...honey is amazing in the fact that mold and bacteria will not grow in it. primitave medicnine uses honey to pack wounds and it is starting to be re-explored by modern medicine in many places. in Australia, honey and betidine is being used to treat non-healing wounds in diabetics. I have used it on wounded animals with great success.

I made the no-poo balls, listed on whatever page it was. They are a bit fragil, but works for me. I put the container with them in next to the shower. Then I wet my hair down, wet the ball a bit, and then work into my hair, sometimes adding more water. Works for me. Michele

Found it on page 5 of shampoo free. I did not have any essential oil, so just used the other 3 ingrediants. Michele |
