Hi there, Farmgirls!

Gather ‘round! I have “new news” about our free magazine issue and what needs to be done to get it!!!!!

After Brenda and I put you “on the list” and sent your names off to the publisher for the free issue, we thought it was a done deal at that point, and that you didn’t have to do anything else…a big boo-boo, and wrong, wrong, wrong!

Here’s how it works. They send / sent you a letter to confirm that you really DO want a free issue and the chance to subscribe after you see it, etc. Well, MAIL THAT LETTER BACK TO THEM WITH YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS! That way, they know you really do want it. If you did already mail the letter back, all's well. If you didn't, keep reading!

Many of you may be saying, “But I tossed that letter out because Sunny told us we didn’t need to do anything else!” That’s OK, I have postage-free alternatives now so that you can fax or e-mail your request directly to them.

Fax: 203-857-3103

E-mail: customer_service@belvoir.com

Just write on the paper to fax (or copy to e-mail):

I would like to receive a free introductory issue of MaryJanesFarm magazine.
Signed: Your Name and Address Clearly Printed

Please let me know if you have any questions about this, and just call me “Sunnyside Up” (with egg on my face) for giving you the wrong information before!

~Sunny

Hi Amy,

It definitely is new for us, but we're soooo happy they are taking care of all the subscriptions...and they are so nice to work with!

Enjoy the magazine, everyone!

Hi Sunny,

Just sent you over my info. Thank you for doing this!

Hi Linda,

I got it, and you're most welcome! You're now on the list, and you'll be receiving that letter from the publisher soon...

Enjoy!

Hi Jeannie,

Good point that I didn't mention before...the letter is written from MaryJane, but the address at the bottom is the publisher's (in Connecticut). That is the correct address to send it to (not to us).

Thanks for mentioning it, Jeannie! (Perseverance is definitely a valued farmgirl trait;)

Hope this is the right place to ask this question...Will I be able to find the next issue at my local Books a Million store?? There is also a Barnes and Nobles bookstore in my area..

With me traveling I decided not to commit to the subscription since I've already got enough "long distance" mail to keep up with but I don't want to miss that window of time for buying the next issue.

If you aren't sure of the nationwide availability then can I just order the issue directly from MJF website once it's available?

Thanks for your help,
Stephanie

Hi Stephanie,

I'm not sure about the Books a Million, but Barnes and Noble should have them. The availablity will be much wider this time around than it used to be, so it shouldn't be too hard to find a copy. And of course, you can always give us a call or order one on the website.

Thanks for checking with us, Stephanie, and (belated) thanks for the compliment, Shirley Jean!

I got my letter last month and they had a number to use to fax it. That's how I sent mine. Hope they received it.

Do we get one automatically sent to us, like it said on the website when you make a purchase. I have ordered several back issues, the dishtowel embroidery set, the cookbook/idea book and the stitching book all since the last magazine was published. Will I get the newest issue sent to me?

Hi Dawn,

In the past, we sent a free issue with each first-time customer's order of products (besides shoes and magazines). In some of the older magazines, you may even see references to a free (calendar) year's subscription with any product order over $50. The $50 free subscriptions were discontinued by us in early 2007.

Our new publisher / partner has offered a free first issue of the magazine and a chance to subscribe at an introductory rate. If you would like this free issue of the new magazine sent to you, you need to let our new publisher / partner know directly. There are three ways to do that:

1.) I can help. I can put your name and address on the publisher's list. You can privately e-mail me from here by clicking on the little open envelope icon above my post. (You must be logged on to do this.) Or, you can call our toll-free number: 888-750-6004. (Please do not post your name and address on this forum.)

2.) If you want to e-mail the publisher directly, their address is customer_service@belvoir.com

3.) If you prefer to fax them your request, just state that you would like the free issue of MaryJanesFarm magazine and the chance to subscribe, and clearly print your name and address.

Let me know if you have any other questions, and thanks for your interest and support!

Their fax number is: 203-857-3103.

Hi Amy and Alee,

The bill would not have to be paid for the subscription until you have a chance to see the magazine, which is due on newsstands Apr. 29. (The mailed copies may arrive sooner than the 29th, though, because we got word that the magazines left the printer yesterday!)

Hope that helps!

Sunny,
Does that mean that we will actually end up getting 6 issues plus the free first issue? Some places I've dealt with have included the free one in the six issues once you pay for the subscription. Don't know if you would have the answer to that but thought I'd ask anyway.
thanks,
Denise

Hi Sunny

After reading this I am really confused....... I still had some time left on the subscription I purchased - then the last issue was delayed because of the book and now I am not sure what my account will be? Is it possible for you to find out? Now that another company is in charge of it I am not sure what that will look like for me - can you help????

I love reading and re-reading the issues and have been bitting my nails awaiting the next. I have not received something in the mail to inform me of the chages so I am concerned.

Thank you for your assistance.

I received the info from the company now handling the magazine, and mailed it back to them, saying I wanted to subscribe; it didn't say anything on it about Canadian addresses, so I hope everything will still go through ok for me.

I see some of you have received the new magazine. I'll be checking my box every day, and hopefully I'll get mine, too!
