I have received several emails wondering how and what has been going on with the boys in the kitchen - I finally got a chance to get some pictures done and a few words from them about what has been going on in their world. Hope you enjoy them and thanks for looking at the blogspot.
I would also like to thank those who have sent prayers for Dr Watson - he is doing fine and we have great hopes for him.

Hi Julie Well they spend most of the day still in the kitch but three times a day we have outings. If the weather is warm we go out on the front deck. If the weather is too cold we might go down to the shop and run a round but there is alot of things they get into there and then we go to the livingroom so Dr Watson feels safe and secure. If someone who have told me 11 years ago before I started this farm that I would have goats babies in my kitchen I would have told them that I was nuts but then again we are the FUNYY FARM. Thanks for taking a look at their new pictures, I tell them you stoped in.

How neat to keep the goaties inside. I remember when we had our first lamb. He was abandoned by his mom so in the house he came. His name was Cinder because he was black. He was a leaper, up and over and into everything. We laughed so hard. Fortunately it was March and quite a nice spring so he got to stay out except at night. Enjoy! MB

The boys are growing so quickly! Will you have trouble re-introducing them to the group -- or have they found a permanent inside home? ;-)

I'm heading south for the winter. Some parts of my body already have a head start! |

They are so cute, Grace. You must have the patience of Job though. I don't know if I could have kids running all over my house. Oh, wait- what's the difference? Two-legged or four-legged, kids are kids, aren't they? They still get into the same stuff! :)

Hi lasdies - just got done feeing bottles and changing bedding on the floor and wipping down the floors so now I can sit down and fill you in. Mary Beth I am still having very windy, cold days but we do go out for a while. Sunshine is a must for all of us.
Sandy - We do take them out to the barn to visit but I have never had trouble reintroducing animals. What I do is not let them out in the general population alone. They are slowly introduced and also if there is a problem the one who is causing the problem is removed and placed into what we call time out. After 11 years most all of the animals we have here are just wonderful. That is not to say someone does not act up but we do not leave you alone to harm anyone.
Nancy what kind of kids do you have? Is yours four or two legged?
Karin sometimes four legged is easier then two. Trust me I had two wild human boys and they would bounce off the furniture worse then my four legged boys. The goats do not get too much time to be running around the house but since just like humans they need to run around to stay healthy and also so they do not get sad and stop eating. I also try to socialize them as much as I can with different environments because alot of what we also do here is education. If I can have a billy that is kind, gently and respectfull of people and things around him, then he will live longer and be more productive too. Also, I have alot of requests to bring animals to nursing homes, schools and special events so this time with me will set these boys up to be spokemen. I also let them be goats too. We play some games that they would naturally be playing in the herd, we maintain boundaries that will still allow them their personal space. Billies in our society of farms get way too bad of a wrap and I am pleased to say everyone who has had one of my goats have raved about the socialization. That is if they were raised by their four legged mom or their two legged mom.
Thanks for everyone taking a look at the boys, I told them all about their site and I am sure they will have much more to show and tell in the days to come. Dr Watson had a great nights sleep and this morning is practicing on his three legged hops. Stay well everyone.
