Sign-ups will now be open through Wednesday, February 7 (instead of the 15th). Send-by date for packages is still March 15, so we'll have a little extra time to make our dishcloths and find the goodies for our partners. An even number of swappers is required for this swap, so if we end on an uneven number, I'll beg and plead for one more to join up.

Start your engines, Farmgirls! It's almost time!

Oh, goodie! Catherine, the early closing date works even better for me as I just got quite a surprise--I am going to the Bahamas! The trip is a total blessing, out-of-the-blue, desperately needed. Now that we've closed the swap early I can be sure to make the gift deadline before I travel! Yay!

If there's anyone who wants their package early that would be a good fit, feel free to send them my way. I will obviously be done in good time in order to be ready for my trip! Who wants to do a knitted bikini swap real quick?! LOL

So excited! I can't wait to get my swap buddy!

Live joyfully, deliberately, simply, abundantly.

I will send an email to each of the swap participants on either Wednesday night or Thursday morning with your partner. This is a one-to-one swap, so you will be sending to and receiving from the same person. You two will be able to view each other's blogs, send email, read the answers to the swap questions and generally get to know each other a bit. Should be a ton of fun!

Any more swappers? There's still time to sign up, but be sure to do so by Wednesday at around dinner time!

Catherine :)

I have one more Farmgirl who would like to join up if someone else does too. So if you're thinking about joining up today but don't want to be the "odd" number, don't worry! We currently have 22 with one on the "waiting list."

Woo Hoo! I am ready. Bought lots of colors of yarn, I should have my swap buddy covered. Made one dishcloth to test the pattern. Can't wait. Should be fun!

Okay Swappers! Let the fun begin! You should have all received an email from me tonight with your partner's info. If you did not, please let me know and I'll re-send. Here are the partners. Please remember to take another look at the first post in this thread to answer some "how to" questions or you can most certainly send me an email or add another post here with questions. But I think we've got everything covered now. Can't wait to get started! Woohoo! Have fun!

Ooh! One more thing. We have one more Farmgirl who wanted "in" but said that she would bow out if we didn't have an even number. Does anyone want to have TWO partners? This means sending two packages but also receiving two packages! If so, let me know and I'll send another email out to both you and the waiting Farmgirl with each other's details.

Catherine :)

Bluewrenn just replied and said that she'd be happy to have two partners, so Bluewrenn and momof2jrt are on the list too!

I can hardly wait to get this out to you.

Sleepless,

Thanks for the update. I'm afraid I went a bit crazy making dishcloths (they're like potato chips) they're so much fun to make. On Sunday I heard about the Noreaster that was going to blow by here today, so I went to Exeter on Monday after my excercise session, I love to go into stores. Lots of interesting stuff. Like my friend whines, "Why of why wasn't I born rich instead of beautiful?" :)

I got a package from momof2jrt today - thank you so much! The dishcloths are so pretty and I haven't yet looked at the rest of the items in the bag, but I'm very appreciative. I'm about halfway done with your package right now and hope to finish it this weekend.

I have yet to start my knitting (plan to do that tomorrow at my Knitting Mamas group at the local art museum!) but have had a ton of fun picking up little things for the package. Can't wait to put it all together!!

Be sure to share photos when you get your packages, if you are able! We'd all love to see Farmgirl Dishcloth Talent!

Just finished dishcloth #1 this weekend on a long drive down to Northfield, MN. Quaint little town perfect for Farmgirls. The signpost on your way into town reads: "Cows, Colleges and Cereal" (Not sure if that last "C" is right, but the Malt•o•Meal plant is in town...) Such a great little town. And they have THE BEST Farmgirl Crafty Store EVER:

www.shopdigs.com

retro-repro fabrics, yarn, ribbon, buttons, vintage treasures, gifts, design, decorating, crafty-crafty, love...

It was heaven! The Urban Farmgirls are going to take a trip down there in the spring for a hike in the Big Woods and a stop at the store WITHOUT babies and partners. This store requires girlfriends and time to squeal about our finds!

So, like I said, dishcloth #1 is done (and adorable, if I do say so myself) and dishcloth #2 is cast-on and just started. Would have gotten farther if Jackson had slept better last night, but today is a new day.

Happy knitting and crocheting!!

Sounds like your trip to Northfield was a crafters delight!
I love origional vintage fabric, but it is getting harder (& more $$$) to find, I also love "repurposing" old, stained/damaged fabric. It's cheaper & I don't feel guilty when I cut it up for other projects.
I sent my package out to my swap buddy in KY, she should receive it by the end of next week. Had to send it Snail Mail.... : > (
Well tata-4-now
