I can't believe things like this still happen. One of my bestest friends has a friend in Chandler, AZ that is working day and night to fight this. Her web site is http://www.stopcovance.com/index.htm and is worth taking a moment to check out. Imagine a place like this in your own back yard.

Beth, I couldn't even look at it although I tried. I can't fathom how the people who abuse these animals in the name of science, live w/ themselves. How do you hold that animal as small as a monkey while it is SCREAMING in your ear from the pain & torture. My God there are better ways. Im sick now, I can't even think about anything else, I just want to cry.

It disturbed me too so much and I did not mean to depress anyone but I think it is important to be aware of such atrocities.

Any atrocity in the world is happening in your own back yard. You don't actually have to be able to see it out your kitchen window to be affected by it. We're all in this together. Thanks for the heads-up.

It is pretty sad that people can justify harming or killing people and animals in the name of science. Of course that opens up a whole can of worms though such as abortion and using unborn babies for stem cell research, even though it has been proven that living adults can donate stem cells with no harm to them and no babies have to die. Of course this is rarely mentioned on the news. I am all for stem cell research, just not at the cost of another human life. It is a sad world we live in when harming or ending life is justified. I never found any scripture that justified murder, only commandments not to. It says in the end times that to many wrong will seem right. I guess we are seeing that lived out. We say "God bless America" but can we really expect God to bless a nation who is blatently breaking his commandments. Sigh . . . I better stop before I make some angry and others depressed. We just really need to all get on our knees. Thanks for sharing this important info. God bless you!

Here is an interesting and instructive discussion of the facts and ethics of stem cell research, written from a Christian perspective.
