Today I received an envelope of two cute Autumn squares, but no return address. Dark green with little Autumn leaves and cute little country homes and fat orange pumpkins with leaves and blue bows. So thank you to the mystery sender. Perhaps it was Brenda or Christy.

Darlene, Hadlee is doing well and enjoying beauty school. She made 100 on her first test. She was not happy with me because I forgot to mail that card to you. I am sorry it was so late. It got in a drawer of the buffet and If she had not been "snooping" it would still be there. I will tell her you received it. Thanks for asking about her.

Darlene, yes she made the card. She makes all of the cards for her mom to send out. She also makes place cards for our holiday meals. One girl dropped out. Another girl is nice to her. She is a Wal mart checker, and a HS senior, we met her yesterday. I think that they are very busy learning how to part hair and roll perms, on their dummy heads, and there has not been much time for the others to be ugly to her. I told her if they were ugly again, just ask if they know Jesus. #1 you shock them, #2 you have the opportunity to tell them about Him.

Marilyn, great advice for Hadlee. LoL, it sure will shock them! Her card is beautiful. Anyone that gets one is lucky.
Are you going to volunteer for a perm? I was a hair model for my friend in high school. Luckily it was a hair style. It was an updo with big curls on top and back. It sounds crazy but it wasn't bad. Keep us posted with Hadlee's progress.

Brenda, thank you so much for the fabric squares! I have never seen either of those...and, I have a plan already! Love your artwork on the envelope also! Cute, cute, cute!

My g-daughter and fiance saw a sad sight this past weekend. They walked about a block from her house to see how badly the river had flooded. Bobbing along were so many orange balls. It took them a minute to figure it out. A pumpkin patch downriver had flooded out and 5,000 pumpkins were floating away. The farmer estimated he still has about 25,000. Still that is a bite out of his crop and sad.

Marilyn, Yes, I guess I did forget to put a return address on your envelope. Mine had the pumpkins on the front and a flower vine drawn on the back of the envelope. Sorry about forgetting the return address.

Now my belated Thank You to
Diana-Lovely leaf patterns
Darlene-Great vegetable prints and cute pumpkin sticker
Rebecca-Yummy apples, acorns, flowers and leaves
Marilyn-Beautiful flowers and leaves
Beverly-Love the trucks and fall flowers

Love being in this Swap with all of you.
Just letting you know my mom isn't doing well. She now needs 24/7 care. My sisters and brothers and I are doing our best to honor her wished to keep her home, but it is becoming increasingly difficult. I will be needed to stay with her quite often now and there isn't any internet service there. Not even with our cell phones. I will post my Thank You to each of you as often as I can.

Have a Great and Happy Fall Everyone!

Diana, Thank you for the Fall fabrics! Can't have too many of those bright colors! They just keep reminding me of how comfortable I am with Fall colors! Beautiful postage stamp too!

Well, I am off to bake pear muffins and finish addressing this swaps envelopes.

Is anyone else having a difficult time finding Indian corn this year? I saw a few faded colors in Wal Mart, but; nowhere else so far.

Thanks, Judith. Tonight I made another for school. I think the kids will enjoy it. I took a table runner and three play pumpkins for their little table in their little kitchen. Believe it or not, they have taken good care of it, and always make sure it looks pretty at clean up time. Even the boys care.
