Stacy - I finished Tale of Despereaux by Kate Kicamillo recently. I loved it. I had checked it out and another award winner, but this one won out. I read it over a weekend.

I belong to an online book club, have for years and have read some great books because of it. This weeks fiction book is Harvesting the Heart by Jodi Picoult. Each day this week I'll get to read a little more of the book and then next week they're on to a different book. After the 1st email this week I knew I wanted to read this book so I ordered it from Amazon and will get it tomorrow I think. I'm sure I'll be done with this one within a few days and then will send it on to whoever wants it. If anyone is interested in checking out the book club go to http://www.surfnetkids.com/bookclubs.htm There is a fiction book, non-fiction book and a teen book each week. I get all 3. Even though it says surfnetkids the books are usually not of interest to kids except the teen books.

I just finished "Backyard Market Gardening". It was pretty informative and well-written, I'd recommend it to anyone who is looking to get into small-scale market gardening/farming.

I'm doing some cleaning out around here and found my copy of The Heart is a Lonely Hunter by Carson McCullers. It was an Oprah's Bookclub pick but I never could get very far into it for some reason. If anyone would like it let me know and I'll send it out. I'll be posting other book give-aways as I'm getting this cleaning done.

I love the MaryJane's books and magazines but I'm really paring down all the stuff around here so I have 2 of the MaryJane's magazines that I will give away. One is The Art of the Egg and the other is Shoulder to the Wheel. Giving away this stuff is much more fun than selling it on ebay. At least I know my books are going to someone who will love them as much as I do.

Bonnie, no that's ok about the shipping, I really just want my stuff to go to a good home. I'll send you the 2 MaryJane's magazines, just send me your address to cjflohe@yahoo.com. Also which books did you want? So far I've got The Heart is a Lonely Hunter.

I just found The Tasha Tudor Book of Fairy Tales. I read something on here recently where Tasha Tudors books were talked about. If anyone wants this I'll send it. It's in pretty good shape, does have an inscription inside from 1975.

Bonnie, I'll go check my email.

I was checking my email and saw the tracking number for my Amazon package (the Harvesting the Heart book) that was supposed to be here tomorrow actually went out for delivery this morning in my town! I'm so excited, can't wait to start reading it this afternoon when it gets here. Better go check on the chickens and pick up my son from school.

Ashley, I'm sorry but I promised the Tasha Tudor book to Bonnie (Beemoosie). I'm still cleaning stuff out so you never know what else I'll find.

I have some of the little books from the Peter Rabbit library by Beatrix Potter. I have books number 7 through 19. I don't know what happened to the others because I used to have the whole set but this looks like all I have of these. Anybody want them?

Ok, right after I posted that I saw books number 20, 21 and 23 so I guess there are 16 of these books.
