Just a notice for my secret Mail Art partner: I have yet to received anything but, if you have already sent it, don't despair. I'm in Canada and there is a possibility that the Post Office will cease delivering for a while (a strike? "grève"). Just to let you know that I will post a message as soon as it comes home! :3
Kindly,
Meg

Oh my goodness! That knot bag!! I LOVE it! Is that a repurposed tea towel? and what kind of fabric was used on the other side?

It's from a vintage tablecloth and the back is just funky print cotton! I've gotten 4 purses out of that cloth!

My mail art arrived from Texas today. A great little ditty bag to hang off a door handle! Seeds, wash I tape and orange yummies. Thanks so much. This really hit the spot of the June mail art.

Dear Sisters,

Mom was finally released from the bonds of her earth body tonight. She went on to be with her Lord and Savior around 9pm. We had a long time to say goodbye as she was ill for the better part of a year. Thank you to all who've said a prayer for her. She was a very kind and charitable woman who helped complete strangers as well as those she knew well. We give thanks for each day that she graced us with her presence. ((HUGS))

Doris, so sorry for you and your family at the loss of your mother. I'm so happy for her to be with her sweet Jesus, who loves her more than we can fathom. Know He loves you the same way as you walk through the next few weeks and years. Hugs

Got my art a couple of days ago! Kristi, thank you so much, the cards are lovely. I'm going to use them to write to my mom and sisters.

Sara, I am sorry to be so slow. I mailed your mail art today and it should reach you Saturday. I have been having some issues with my car. Finally my husband took me to the PO today.

Sara, those are some delicious looking carrots!! You ladies always produce such amazing work. It is nice to see what everyone is up to and what nice things y'all create for the swaps! The cloth is awesome, even before I noticed the monogram done by Angie. The cards from Kristi are almost too beautiful to use. And, Aimee the picnic quilt makes me want to run out and set up an impromptu lunch myself! Tammy, that is one cute ditty bag! Cheers to all and will be back in the mix ASAP!

Ladies, I was reading through these posts and saw Sara M.'s plea for everyone to post when they receive their package, just so we will know where the package is. Last fall a package was mailed to me, but I never received it. Then I mailed one, in another swap, and it never made it. Because we were all posting...We were able to make replacements and mail again. When you do not post that your package is in the mail...on its way to surprise someone, and then you do not post that you received your package...It is discouraging to those of us waiting to hear. I was late mailing mine to Sara this month, but I posted about it when it was mailed. Doris was also delayed when her mom passed away. Things happen. But if you go up to the top of the page and subscribe to the topic, you will be reminded that you are in a swap, as others join...Then as they say thank you, and post a photo That is a BIG REMINDER...it's time to get yours ready to mail. Also, if something happens and you absolutely cannot participate please do not hide...just tell us or email Kristi. Angels are all around to help out.

I made a list. 20 ladies signed up for June Mail Art. 14 have mailed their packages. 12 people have received a surprise, and 8 ladies are waiting for a package to arrive.

Hello Ladies,

Thank you for the all of your condolences. Once again, you all give strength and hope when needed most. True spirit of this forum that is so precious.

I wanted to reach out (again) and let that one farmgirl out there who's still waiting her June mailart know that her pkg is still here and I deeply apologize for not getting it out. I promise that it will go tomorrow. Too many distractions and "to do's" keeping from my most favorite women. . .

Also, special thanks to the sweet cards received from Darlene R. & Debbie F.

Doris you are a classy lady. You have been so good to keep in touch with all of us throughout these past few months...giving us frequent updates about your mom. Thank you. We understood your mail art would take a back seat to your family. Please do not feel bad about being late. Hugs from me...from our group too.
