Hello Ladies!! What a great way to return to the Sisterhood after three years of being MIA! I am so excited to join in the jubilee celebration and this will be my first badge to work on for my return. I have marked the May 7&8 dates in my book and I look forward to celebrating with you all :-)

Can someone please connect me with the jewelry charms etc that are related to Jubilee? I checked on the product website and only the sisterhood necklace came up.

Carrie,
I suggest you email Brian at the farm and ask about the charms. As far as I know there weren't any charms available yet and I had also heard that there were only so many Jubilee necklaces and they were sold out. But Brian can help:

Hope that helps!

I want to see photos of the horses on your trip if you get to see them!
be sure to wear your apron when you go (smile)

I just gave one of my ''doing chores'' aprons to friend who bought my two ponies
when I had to sell them. every day our ritual was to meet at the gate. they
knew carrots or sweet potatoes were in pockets.
she couldn't get Cherokee to come to her so gave her the apron he knew. lol
told her to wear it when she went out
look on her face was like you have to be kidding lol I warned her
aprons can be addicting! will see soon if she converted or not lol

I never go do chores without a apron I take sweet potato pieces for wallabies and llama
then gather any eggs my girls have left for me. I love my aprons.

for jubilee I am going to plan on making 4 aprons for friends and introduce them to
''farm girls'' need my hen house here to grow (smile)

I have to laugh...quite a few of my "older" friends don't cook any more so have no need for aprons. I hope to wear mine forever!

Teresa, Yes, I will take photos to share!! Last weekend, we revisited the trip agenda and we are actually starting the trip in Vienna so we went online and purchased tickets to see the Lippizaner horses on April 23 at 11am!!! I can't wait to see the show.

This agenda reversal means that I will be in Amsterdam, Netherlands on our Jubilee weekend. Works for me because there will still be plenty of beautiful tulips everywhere to enjoy!! Sunday May 8 will be a long travel home day so I will be watching lots of movies instead of celebrating with all of you here at the Forum.

I'm super excited about joining in on this year's Jubilee! It's been fun reading the posts about last year's Jubilee and planning for this year. I'm loving the idea of the aprons and the charms!

I'm so excited for this years Jubilee! I just renewed my membership, after a year off, and I'm excited to jump right in! Thinking of forming a chapter, but trying to think of names....I think the Jubilee would be a perfect time to start!

I am excited about the Jubilee also, but you girls will have to help me out as this will be my first one. I love making aprons. I have made quite a few and am addicted to making them now. I made my 2 year old granddaughter one and made her brother a John Deere one as he also likes to help with the baking and cooking. He will make a fine husband someday as we women do like a little help in the kitchen from time to time. Thanks a bunch Farmgirl sister Christine

Welcome back, Vanessa! I went a little AWOL myself so this is my first Jubilee and I am SO excited! I can't wait to get the Egg Gathering Apron pattern and make a new apron :-)

I have several ideas for celebrating Jubilee in my neighborhood and I will share them when I apply for my Jubilee badge! I also found some of those jewelry making supplies for putting little pics under clear cover and using on a bracelet or necklace....got some ideas for those, too!

Ok I'm caught up now.. May 7th is also the Kentucky Derby here. Make sure you make some Derby hats to wear that day along with your aprons! I'm excited for this year's Jubiliee!!

RoDonna, your idea of a great Derby hat to go with the Jubilee apron is fantastic! It is going to be one power packed event weekend.

Sadly, the company had to cancel our trip to Vienna and we will not be able to see the Lippizaner horses. Instead, we are going from Amsterdam to Prague in May and I will be somewhere in Germany for our Jubilee weekend. I am just hoping I can have reliable wifi so that I can log on and keep up with all the fun everyone will be having.

Please post photos if you are able so this "Farmgirl on the Loose" can see what everyone is doing. I think I will pack an apron and try and wear it one day. I'll post a photo of wherever I am.

Winnie,

you will love Prague. I was there in 2007 and met my cousin who lives in the Czech republic. He took the train down to Prague and was our guide the entire time we were there. It is a beautiful old city. Lots of old country charm and very friendly people. Our hotel was right at the bridge to the castle. We walked everywhere.

Where are you going in Germany? I have friends near Frankfurt and some closer to Cologne. Hopefully you will get to climb all the stairs up to the top, like we did, in the old Cathedral in Cologne.

Farmgirl hugs,

Ohh, that is exciting Linda to hear that you loved Prague! I was pretty bummed out about not going to Vienna but your endorsement makes me very hopeful. AS for Germany, we have not gotten our agenda yet so I hope it will include Cologne.

Jubilee 2016 is almost here so it's time for me to drag out all the things I made for Jubilee 2015; spruce up my mini-garden; make banner for chicken coop and a bandanna for Annie; and most important of all to finish my egg gathering apron.

I also have to decide which recipe or to make all of the vintage Jubilee recipes. The recipes can be found at http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/snitz/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=67740&whichpage=10
http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/snitz/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=67860

There's time for more recipes to be added so take a look and if you have a favorite please post it.
