I know just what you mean, Sara!! We have all been looking forward to this fun celebration and I am excited to read about all of the fun and beautiful ways Farmgirls celebrate. As to creative ways to countdown,,,hummmm, how about 10 jelly jars with one message written on a piece of paper that tells one way MJF has changed your life. For example, I could list how to make my own laundry detergent on one message. It has saved me so much money over the past year! A second one for me would be wearing aprons. That one change has saved countess blouses from grease and other stains. Plus, I love how fun it is to have pretty aprons.

Lets see, now that I am on a roll ,here would be the rest of my messages.

3. Setting up a clothesline last Spring and using it all the time.
4. Doing various swaps and making new friends and having so much fun.
5. Doing badges and learning new skills and reading interesting books.
6. Learning to make BakeOvers .
7. Learning to use ChillOver powder.
8. Participating in the Chatroom and learning so many great ideas about many topics.
9. Making so many new friends and meeting some Farmgirls in person!
10. Being Farm Sister of the Year!!!!!! Oh my, what a privilege and it has been so much fun!!

Anyone else have ideas for a countdown? I would love to hear your ideas too!

Winnie, love your idea for counting down the days to Jubilee.

I may borrow your idea and pin 10 notes with clothes pins to one of my aprons and hang on door.

Here's my list of 10 ways MaryJane and you FarmGirls have changed my life.

1. I now wear aprons.
2. I look for organic foods.
3. I use old and new skills to earn merit badges.
4. I engage in conversation with like minded women.
5. I now have 3 chickens.
6. I have been recognized in Sister Issues and the magazine for some of mine post. Recognition is always a very good thing.
7. On days I cannot leave my house I have a place to visit and crafts to work on.
8. I have joined in on several swaps.
9. I like being part of something bigger than my everyday life.
10. I was proud when MaryJane ask me to make her an apron garden flag.

Have a blessed day, Sara

HI Sara, I love your 10 notes to countdown and I think your idea of hanging the notes on the apron for your door decoration is fantastic!! I think I might do that one myself instead of the jars. Your idea allows one to see the notes easily and read them. Too Cute!

OK Farmgirls, here is opportunity to come up with your list of ideas for Jubilee countdown. Please share them here so we can all enjoy what has been meaningful to you!!

Whoop!! Countdown in ON till the Jubilee . Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Winnie, I'm going to copy my list to word; enlarge the type; space lines out so I can cut them in strips. Will save having to re-type or write by hand. I just love it when it all comes together.

Really loved the lists on this thread. What can't we do as Farmgirl Sisters? Ain't nuttin'! I do declare.

It's looking like we'll have good weather for our Jubilee cookout/campout.

P.S. I'm thinking about naming my next Jersey calf, due in a month, Miss Jubilee-daughter to Miss Daisy ... if'n I get a heifer. Fingers crossed.

Jubilation it is! As in Jeb, he could be nicknamed Jube. A jube dude.

We're all so busy getting ready. I decided to put apron garden flag out today and changed out apron & sunbonnet at front door. It's so damp here I don't want to leave anything made out of fabric out for more than a week.

Happy FarmGirl Jubilee Eve

Happy Jubilee Eve to you Sara and all of the Farmgirls!! I am wearing my necklace today in anticipation of May 1! This morning I am sitting at Starbucks on the patio over looking a small marina in Sandpoint , Idaho. It sure is pretty out here. There are still some mountains with snow caps and everything is lush and green. Plus the air is cool and dry with a light breeze. So different from Florida where we are already hot and humid most days. Perfect weather to celebrate the Jubilee this weekend!!!

My daughters and I are prepping for the Jubilee! We worked hard on our fairy village layout this morning. I posted a picture of it in the Jubilee garden discussion. We are planning a tea party for Saturday afternoon and made a key lime pie for it. I am also working on some badges in honor of the weekend. I am glamping up the camper with new paint, new curtains, and some new decor (I think I will end up with two new badges for the effort). We will be setting up a tea party in a tent and glamping it up to work on the beginner glamping badge. I have been wearing my jubilee necklace and aprons all week. I am so very excited for the weekend and all the fun we will be having across the nation. It is so fun to think although we won't all get to be together we will be celebrating together.

In the celebration of Jubilee----This morning my granddaughter and I baked up some blueberry muffins. Also have been working in my garden. Most days I wear my apron all day.

I am starting my Jubilee celebration this week as well by wearing my new egg gathering apron and also getting an apron set up somewhere on the porch by the front door. Yummy,, blueberry muffins for breakfast, Laurie! That was a great kick-off to our celebration.

Emily, your Jubilee celebration plans sound like great fun and adding badge work is just icing on the cake!! Let us know how the weekend goes for you. Agree with you that sharing our celebration plans here together will make this coming week and weekend celebration together so much fun!

Our plans are still unfolding but I know the main thing I want to do--sit around a campfire. Morning campfire (w/coffee); evening campfire (w/hot chocolate). Maybe some s'mores. Maybe some s'mores for breakfast:) Maybe more s'mores for lunch.

Won't our egg gathering apron with the little compartments be perfect for s'more's fixin's?
