Carrie, nice vegetable gathering apron. Indeed, the fabric it is perfect for your apron! Isn't funny how we don't want to cut into a piece of fabric?! Thank you for sharing! Cheers!

You all are so much fun! Love the pictures and hope I can get at least one apron done this week. Here's to a lot of wishful thinking. . .(there's still half a week left, right?)

Just love it! All the pretty aprons done up in beautiful colors and each in the creativity of a FarmGirl. Gotta get mine done so I can gather eggs on the first day of Jubilee 2016.

Carrie,
After I saw your apron, I was inspired to dig out the last of the veggie fabric I have so that our Carrie Jo and I could re-work our canvas work apron pattern into something more delicate but still with huge pockets.

Speaking of delicate, I went through my apron collection and found what I'm pretty sure is a Victorian egg gathering apron. It was made using a very thin cotton and adorned with handmade lace. It's always felt "too nice to wear."

Great aprons, MaryJane. I love the Victorian one. Great for fancy occasions, but I wouldn't use it for gathering anything, just for show.

Ohh, MaryJane, what splendid aprons! I do love the veggie fabric one with huge pockets. That fabric is so pretty and bright and looks adorable with different trim and tie bow. Pockets are just the best on any garment, I think. Your Victorian egg apron is so delicate and pretty. Yes, I would hate to wear it and then have it ruined by accident. Thanks for sharing!

Those are beautiful aprons, Mary Jane! I know I wouldn't be wearing the Victorian one for my egg gathering . . . or vegetable gathering. I'd just wear it and sit and sip tea!

Everyone's aprons are so wonderful! Here's mine. I really had fun making it. The pattern was great, and I haven't made anything just for me in a long time. I made it from two pairs if pajama pants that were my daughter's many years ago. That's my motto, "use what you have, and your imagination." It's maybe just a little gaudy, but then again I think I must be part gypsy, cause that's what I like :)! Can't wait to wear it Jubilee weekend.

Happy Day!

Amy, your apron turned out adorable!! I love the fun colors and fabrics that you used too. Most certainly, the Farmgirl creativity and imagination were at the heart of this inspiration. Enjoy wearing it this coming weekend!

I think my Jubilee will be just me and my family. Mother's Day is always really rough for me. My son, Levi, passed away in 2007 and the first Mother's Day following was also his 2nd birthday, May 11. May, in general, is kind of a difficult time around here. My local MJFG can't celebrate this weekend, for the most part. Derby is big around here right now! lol!! So we may try for lunch towards the end of the month.

MaryJane, love the aprons, especially the Victorian one...so YOU!!

Amy, your gypsy apron is FANTASTIC!! Love it <3 So girly :-)

My Jubilee will be simple, as it is my first one. I will be attending the first Outdoor Farmers Market of the season where I hope to pick up my starter tomato and pepper plants. Then I'm meeting a friend for a nature walk around Moreau Lake. Afterward, we will share lunch together. Then I will head home, put on my gardening gloves, and play in the dirt. It's too early to plant (zone3-4) but I will get the areas ready for Memorial Day planting.

Mary Jane and Amy, what wonderful aprons. I wonder if whoever made the Victorian one needed to feel feminine and not so farmy. Lol

I was reading through this thread and wondering if we wrre still giving ideas for the poster. I was thinking a cow or calf, a tractor, chickens, aprons, canning or garden things. So many things to choose from.
