One way I keep track of rows is to use a piece of post-it paper and move it down as I go along.

Well I am delighted to say I finished up a couple of Cross~stitch UFO's last night... I had finished one of these 'Memos from Mom' well over a year ago... and had started the 2nd one, but for what ever reason, I set it aside (tucked in my container of X-stitch projects) and forgot all about it... duh! Suppose to be Mothers Day gifts....
Now all I have to do is 'fray' the edges,,, and glue a small piece of cardboard and a magnet on the back side and Voila! Done!... These were suppose to be little 'tuck-in' gifts for both my mom and Mom-n-law.... well now that they will be finished in a wee bit,,, I am ahead of the game for this "Mothers Day! lol!
This morning I finished up this little x-stitch as well...
all I needed to do was outline the hearts... scheeze! I have no idea why I hadn't outlined... but for what ever reason, I tossed it in the container as well.. now it is done,, now to figure out that to do with it... maybe make it into a (yet another) fridge magnet! lol!
The scary thing is,,, I have 2 containers of un-finished x-stitch projects,,, one container is for larger UFO's and the other container is for small UFO's... I am going to work an another one tonight,,, a little tea cup & tea pot,,,on 18ct aida, the design is about the size of a nickel,,,, which with my poor eye sight is gonna be tuff,,,that's probably why I put it aside in the 1st place! lol!

I have (somewhere) a kit on 36 count which is done over two threads so it looks like 18 count. Not certain where that is.

I completed the casserole carrier today. I cut out two microwave bowl holders and will finish them tomorrow. I will take a picture of both projects then.

Well my wonderful plans are up in smoke.
Lowell (DH) was supposed to go visit his father out of the city today. I would have had the apartment to myself and could have made as much of a mess with my UFOs as I wanted. His father called this morning to tell him that he has had some complications after a surgery he had and does not want him to come visit. I feel badly about the illness of my 89 year old FIL and really disappointed about not having my own free will in the house. Then I feel ashamed for being so selfish about it. Lowell has sent the word out that band rehearsal in on but I don't know if the guys are coming. It is so difficult to start on something when plans are changed at the last minute.
Oh well, I will just carry on.

Started on the wedding cross stitch picture for my daughter in law to be.....cleaning out the guest room is in progress, two big boxes and two bags of clothes hauled to the thrift store. Progress sometimes comes in baby steps.

Here is a picture of the completed casserole carrier and microwave bowl holders. Its hard to tell from the photo; but, I think they turned out pretty well. Its the same fabric friend is using for curtains in her new kitchen. Next UFO (I think)will be some embroidery. At least that is what I am taking on our road trip.

Thank you, Grace! It was fun fabric to work with. I have enough fabric left that I might make a table runner for her....oh, no, another UFO!

Love the cross stitch projects, Grace! I really love doing cross stitch, but I've promised myself not to start anything else until I get my granddaughter's sweater made. Which I had to rip out and start over grrrrr! I took a break and made a couple Valentine's decorations and some cards. Now back to that darn sweater today! Judith, your pieces are so cheerful. Makes me want to make a set . . . hmmmm . . . No no, must make sweater! :)

I've caught up reading all the posts. Everyone has been so busy. All your projects look great. I am trying to decide what UFO to work on next. I have plenty to choose from that is for sure.

Did everyone see the new UFO Merit Badge in the February Sisterhood Issue? We should ALL be able to get that one!

A UFO Badge? I'm on it.
I have completed one of the UFOs on my original list.
These are the dish cloths and dish towel I just finished making for a couple who was married last August.
This is something I have wanted to get done for a long time. This is our laundry hamper. It is lined with a white bag that comes out if you want it to. Well I do not want so I sewed it onto the container. Just look at that wicked upholstery needle.
Now, I am switching gears to some baby gifts - a knit afghan for a little boy who is just born and a couple rompers (thanks katmom) for a little girl who is about two weeks from birth.

oops!,, I meant to ask,, is the 'cord holder' elastic or Velcro or snaps or? I can see this as a great way to use up bits of wide Trim, that I just can't bare to toss... I don't know about you but I probably have a dozen of more bits of 1-3" wide trims that are 4" or longer... this would be a great idea for using them...
