I finished my UFO #16 - the top from my 10" Christmas squares that I received in my swap. Now to send it to the longarm quilter!
Great irises, Sherrilyn.

UFOS seem to be like coat hangers in a closet. Shut the door and there is twice as many as before.
Thank you all for your compliments. My mom's favorite floor is iris. Those are pot holders for her kitchen.

I have finished the top for my Texas/Michigan Quilt. This photo doesn't show the small border I put on it. Dropping it of to my cousin this afternoon. She is going to machine quilt it for me. I started it 6 years ago :( I was making it as gift for my Texan Husband. He felt like he could tell me how to sew. It made me angry and I stopped sewing. I packed it away and left it. Two years ago he was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer. He went through all the radiation, chemo and surgery. It came back, more surgery last June. Came back in his liver and the abdominal wall. More Chemo. Its back in his liver and spine. A couple months ago he asked me to finish the quilt before he dies. I dug it out and in 6 weeks I have finished the top. Have never sewed in such a hurry before. It's been fun for us to see it come together. My sewing isn't any where close to as good as it used to be. I hate to for the day to come when I am not able to hand stitch. It's coming, but I'm fighting it :) I'm anxious to see this quilt completed.

Christy, I love your quilt and I know your husband will, too. I know what you mean about being able to see well enough to hand sew...it's always been a worry for me, as well. Keeping you in my prayers |

Christy, your quilt is indeed beautiful! I love to hand sew; but, still haven't tried applique! It just scares the heck out of me. Soon though. It won't be long until it is finished. You both can enjoy it!

Seems like I've been gone forever. You guys have been busy busy busy! Guess I didn't realize how long I've been away. Between the roof leak, then sickness, then loosing my aunt, etc, etc, etc, I've not been able to log on or do much to finish projects.... So, looking forward to get back in the saddle.
Was excited to hear that they now have an UFO badge! Going to have to check it out!
