Debbie, I love all of your quilts! It must feel great to have them all completed.

Sherri, your painting is just lovely!

My UFO project for my expert level merit badge. In 2011 my daughter, Robin and I, went on a Farmgirls on the Loose road trip which took us into Wyoming, Montana and Idaho. We met with LOTS of farmgirls, did LOTS of fun things and had LOTS of adventures along the way. We ended up at Mary Janes Farm where we stayed three nights at her Outpost B&B.
I had memory books made for my daughter and myself in which we had all the farmgirls along the way write little notes. I had already decorated and embellished the covers and they have a clear plastic sheet over both front and back covers to help projects the embellishments, etc.

Well, I've been carrying this around in my project case all this time . . .FINALLY it's done. I had to sort, organize, select and crop a lot of pictures and put the book together which included making journal notes to go along with the photos.
Now, I can enjoy the book . . . and the awesome memories! I think it was a once-in-a lifetime trip and experience!
CJ

This is the book and the huge pile of photos!

Two of my very favorite photos across from the page Mary Jane wrote on.

The finished book, showing the cover!

What a wonderful scrapbook and story. It sounds like it was a great time in the making.

It may take me a year or more to get my UFOS done to the Expert level. Congratulations on getting your project done so you can enjoy the fruits of your labor.

CeeJay, How wonderful! I've done scrap booking, but have gotten away from it. I think it's beautiful, you did a great job!
I've completed two sandwich wraps, which I've been putting off. One for my husband and the other for a co-worker. Both in a Star War's print. :)I also used some Pellon Wrap and Zap. I'm hoping this will insulate the sandwiches and also make them microwaveable. Can't hurt, right?

Gracie, I hope you keep your little cowgirl apron forever! If I'm remembering correctly I made THIRTY-SIX of those little cowgirl aprons! I still have mine and Birdie has hers. Wonder how many of the other ones are still with the farmgirl we gave them to . . . hmmmm!

What I didn't mention is that the big "finale" was a Tea Party in the Plum Pit at Mary Janes Farm. The photo at the bottom of the page of the book is of the farmgirls that were there for the Tea Party! What a time we had!

Took my next step toward finishing my MIL's quilt. I laid it upside down over 3 porch tables and stitched the fleece to the top. Now it is rolled up like giant cigar.

I'm not sure that I REALLY have any UFOs to do right now. I'll have to look in my room to see if there is something that has REALLY been waiting a long time.

I measured it - 104 by 84 inches. The pattern is Grandmother's Flower Garden. I'm thinking of machine stitching around the flowers to keep them in place.

Vanessa, it sound lovely, can't wait to see it!

CeeJay, I'd be happy to send you some of my UFO's if you need some! This weekend I dragged them all out of their hiding places and made a list, etc., as the first step in the beginner UFO badge. What a project that was -- it ended up with me cleaning out a closet, but of course that it was a good thing. But the amount of UFO's I realized I have is staggering! :O Yikes!

Happy Day!

Amy, I'm glad that my UFO list isn't the only one that's long! I think I'm one who really LOVES starting new projects....gets bored in the middle....but if I get inspired, love the feeling of finishing! I just need to power through to that inspired phase!

I also do that Debbie. I buy enough supplies to start a manufacturing process and then never get around to it. I have some pajamas with I started about 20 years ago. I am shamed. LOL

I am glad I'm not the only one with a UFO list as long as my arm. I currently have 4 of them and supplies stuffed into one bag. I am getting work done each time I go to one of my daughter's events, but I have to have options so I don't get bored. I hope to have all 4 done by the end of the week.

Arm? Try a list as long as my driveway. And I, too, work on multiple projects so I don't get bored just with one media. LOL!

Here's another of the Rendezvous pieces that I have done. This is 4 of 10. Lots of work, but I will just die when I see a little girl running around in this skirt at a Rendezvous.

CeeJay.....your scrapbook is fabulous! What wonderful memories!
My mom is a scrapbooker. She has an entire ROOM for her scrapbooking stuff...yikes! I am NOT. I haven't the foggiest idea what to do! haha! If I can have directions for what to glue where and what scissors to use and how it's supposed to look when finished, then I can put together a PASSABLE card or whatever. I really admire those of you who have your own vision!
