I have never had a problem with blanching and freezing my green beans. I've done it that way for years but my family also likes dilly beans so I have also made them that way. No pressure canner since they have vinegar they can be done in a water bath.

Shenandoah what a pretty buffet you have now!

Shennandoah, your work is outstanding What a gorgeous buffet! I'll have to take a look at that badge. Not that I have time right now, but always good to have ideas percolating away in the back of my brain.

Well I have just applied for my first badge, Beginner UFO. It took many months to complete between “Life” happenings. It was a Latch-hook kit that was a gift from my Mother-in-Law many years ago.

Great job on all your projects ladies! I’m working on my intermediate embroidery and crochet badges. For embroidery I’m working on my expert level badges and stitching them to my tote bag. For crochet I’m trying to learn granny squares. It’s challenging but I’m gonna figure it out! I love to knit but always struggle with crochet. I love granny squares though and am trying to make a whimsygoth bag for my daughter. Hope I can get it figured out before her birthday next month!

Beautiful Shennandoah! I am the opposite. Crocheting is a breeze but knitting is difficult for me. I need practice.

Well done Shennandoah! I never could get the hang of Granny Squares (even though most people seem to say they are the easiest things to crochet!), oh and I LOVE the bird!

Your embroidery is beautiful Shenandoah, and also the granny square. That is something I just can’t get the hang of.

I was wondering if someone can point me in the direction of the best beginner YouTube video on basic knitting. I have a scarf started that is only two inches, lol. A friend was trying to teach me on our lunch hour years ago, but then she moved away. I would love to finish this before winter. Thanks!!

Oh and I have not been able to work on badges for a few months (err breaking my left femur just above the knee at the end of April doesn't help matters!) but I did work on a small cross stitch

Great work Shennandoah! They both look great.

Hilary, your little cross stitch is pretty. I am sorry to hear about your leg. Hopefully it's all healed soon.

Thank you Krista, I am taking a break from cross stitch (and once I can get to my stitching bag I will make a small inner bag for the one I just finished so the lavender smell comes through!), I am currently working on knitting a tote bag, but there is a long way to go on that lol. PS this also shows how far from my computer desk I am currently sitting as my right leg (not the broken one) is outstretched and my foot is still 12 inches min from the desk!!

Wanda look up Very Pink Knits.her videos are great. Also look for an independent yarn store in your area.Thats what I did. Took an in person class with my mom because she wanted to learn and wouldn’t go by herself. Turn3d out I had a knack for it and loved it! Knit everyone something for Christmas each year.

Thank you Shenandoah, I will check that one out. I definitely do not have a knack for it, lol. I have checked out two different ones so far, I’m learning that everyone has a slightly different approach, so I’ll keep watching till I find one that clicks with my brain. I’m learning a little but still not finding my rhythm yet. I would love to make gifts for my family.

Shennandoah, those are beautiful. I love the color of your fingerless gloves. I haven't learned to knit yet, but I typically crochet something for everyone for Christmas as well.

How are everyone's badges coming along? I have a couple that I am interested in working on, but this week I am going to attempt to work on my canning badge. I have also been wanting to work on the Farmgirl Gratitude badge.
