Sabrina, I'm with Shannon on making your breads gluten free. Sounds reasonable to me.
I'd suggest you send an email to Brian at the farm with any questions you have about the badges. He's the "badge guy" there and can help you out. His email is: brianogle@maryjanesfarm.org
He's also really busy, wearing lots of hats at the farm, so it might take a couple days or so for him to get back to you. Hope that helps! CJ

I'm lovin' this thread. Bring on the badges!!!! Yes, of course gluten-free is fine. Good luck. We're working on our 2016 badge updates as well as crafting a few new badges. Thank you for your suggestions. There are some new fun badges we'll be highlighting in our Feb. MJF Sister Issue. Stay tuned.

Shannon-I guess when I read it I just thought I would need to ask about it being GF...but you are right the requirements can be met without gluten. Yes we are sensitive NOT celiac and no we are not corn free although I do avoid non-organic corn due to GMOs. No idea where I would find Eikorn (sp?) flour here.....might have to look into that when we get back stateside unless I can order it. I do have some white wheat berries I need to do something with maybe I'll just treat D.....he loves my sourdough.
Thank you MaryJane for confirming GF bread is OK!
After I posted yesterday I submitted a whole bunch of badges for Sydney! I lost count! I also realized Sofia is now old enough to do Young Cultivator so I need to make her a book.
I still need to figure out how I'm going to display all our badges!!!

Katie is really getting on me about putting in for badges for her. I need to look at the age requirements and see if Sammi is old enough... I was thinking she and Sofia are about the same age.

Welcome to the group Sabrina. Congratulations on completing some badges! That is a great list on the merit badges you want to do! I hope you can get many of them done within the year. Keep us updated on what you are working on!
Great Shannon! There isn’t a separate post. Not that I am aware of anyway. I would assume we could just create a new one here under merit badges.
Looking forward to seeing the new merit badges coming out!

If there is something you have created and it is not on the list requirements for a badge, how can you find out if it can be used to apply for one of the levels?

Yes, I do. They are on my computer but not this one. I need to find them and the one for the flower girls dress as I will be using that one for my beginner level.

Last night I started on my crochet badge. I attempted to teach myself how. I must admit that it was a little frustrating. I was able to get the first row down but struggled with connecting the next row. So I decided to ask a friend to help me. She is coming over tonight. Hopefully I have more success with her help. Anyways, here is a picture of what I accomplished last night. Not so bad for teaching myself.

Once you get the hank of it you will love it Krista. My mom taught my brother and I how to crochet when we were quite young. I doubt he does it anymore but I still do. I am learning to knit now. Want to work on my badges for that.
