Oh man, you ladies are fast!!!! I'm bummed, I had ordered some yarn from a kickin' dyer online, but I got an e-mail from her saying she is behind on her dying so it's not going to get here on time for me to send out. So, I'm going to hit an LYS this weekend and find something equally lovely. But now I just realized that the post office is closed on Monday for MLKD! Will I be banned for life if I mail on the 16th?

My special ordered yarn hasn't arrived yet either so I am worried about getting mine out until the 16th too!! I don't have a LYS for backup at all...bummer..I have the rest ready to go.

Oh I totally forgot about no mail on the 15th! In that case, the deadline to mail is the 16th...is that still going to work for y'all? It's been a little quiet on the Knitting front lately...how's it going out there?

I still haven't heard from Blue Apple Farm, Jana or Grammy to confirm that they received their pal's info. I'm seriously hoping that no Knitter will be overlooked in this swap, but if you haven't heard from a pal or received a package in a week or so, speak up! We'll have to find some "guardian angel swappers" to jump in to the rescue!

Swap, swap, swap...this is so fun! How about some photos of the packages?

Catherine :)

Ooh! I can't wait, thanks Marcia!

Troyce (Grammy) received her package from me yesterday and said she loved it. It was so fun to put together!

Now I can't wait to hear about (and SEE! How about some photos?) everyone else's stuff!!

Just had to share pics and description of the wonderful swap package I got from Polly (psouper)!!!!
First of all..even the box was decorated...I LOVE that! Right away I knew it was from a farmgirl..that is MY kind of mail!!
Everything inside was wrapped up in a beautiful silky fabric that I just love..brown background with pink flowers and celery green leaves..so pretty!! I will have to think of a special project for THAT! and the yarn!!!! It is perfect!! sockalotta in a wonderful varigated in browns and greys...I would totally have picked this out!! then cute cute cute notecards with a heart on front ( I NEEDED note cards!!) and a great lip balm ( I am addicted to the stuff and go through it like crazy...this is perfect!!) and a candle tin with a scent called Verde..it smells heavenly! A great little cow rubber stamp that I will use OFTEN!! and some self stick notes and camomile tea (one of my favorites!!!) and some chocolate that will be just the ticket tonight when I am stitching...two rasberry and two mint ..yum!!!
Thanks so so much Polly..you did a great job! Thanks also for including the cute card (forgot to get it in the picture! with a picture of you milking YOUR cow!) how fun that I knew you from the Keeping a Family Cow forum too..and didn't even know it.
THis totally made my day!!

"Virgil Brigman back on the air."

Hey, everybody! (insert enthusiastic wave from NM) This is my first day with power and internet. (This is also the first place I came!) I have been without access to my email or the web since an enormous storm decided to camp out over Northern New Mexico just after Christmas, so I haven't even seen if my pal's info came. I just wanted to tell the group that I haven't forgotten, I've just been snowed in!

I don't know who my swap pal is yet (I literally got connected and came straight here), but, whoever the lovely farmgirl is, I would like to hereby assure her that I can't wait to find out who she is and get her package off to her! It won't arrive by the 15th, but it won't get there much after, I promise! Again, sorry for disappearing. Glad to be back.

Live joyfully, deliberately, simply, abundantly.

I am thrilled to report that I have my swap pal info. I am also gleefully rubbing my hands together with delight--I can't wait to shop for her! Tee-hee! Now that I see that I can mail on the 16th, I've even beat the deadline. Joy!

Thanks for setting this up, Catherine. What fun!

Jenny - I had fun making it and of course, after I mailed it, I thought of a billion other things I should have included . . .
It was nice that I could peek at your blog and get some insider info about you - I think you look like Snow White!

Yipee!! I got my package today!! Thank you so much Susan I loved everything and thanks for including the great sock pattern. (How do you girls organize all your patterns?) I'm going to sit down with a cup of coffee after dinner and knit socks. I posted a picture of all my goodies on my blog along with some other photos. This is so fun.

Blessings,

Missy

P.S. I forgot to mention how I store my patterns. I have two 3-ring binders full of patterns in plastic protectors (so I can throw them in my knitting bag and not worrying about ripping, etc.) divided by category (hats, socks, baby, etc.). I'm hyper-organized though, I'm sure there are other, less anal ways to store patterns! This is just what I like. :)

I think that is such a nice idea Catherine! I am not as organized as I could be. I have a drawer with very unorganized stacks of patterns and pattern books. I know where to look, but no one else could find anything of mine!!!
I may someday have to borrow your idea..sounds much nicer!

Hello, ladies! Happy Sunday to all of you! Our weather broke long enough to allow me a trip into town yesterday. Managed to get everything I wanted for my swap pal in one trip with several stops (and had a blast doing it!). Everything is all packed up and ready to ship. Yay!

With all the critters taken care of and the porch swept, I just have to figure out what to knit while it snows today...

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend and keeping safe. For those farmsisters out in the thick of the "crippling ice storm", I'm sending you warm fuzzies!

Thanks Jayne, I can't wait!! I would love to do this again too-it was so much fun. I went to this little art gallery to find one more little thing for my pals basket and I found so many wonderful things that a farmgirl would love, I wish I had unlimited funds!

Polly,

I have your package all shrinkwrapped and ready to go - I will get a box at work tomorrow and get it ready to mail out after work. This has been fun!
