Has anyone got any ideas on how to start my sprouts? I like alfalfa sprouts but that may be hard for Mississippi. I really don't know because I have never done it.
Many thanks!

The key with sprouts is to keep them evenly moist but not too wet so they rot. You are basically doing that experiment we all did as kids where you wrap the bean in a paper towel and put it in a baggie, then tape it to the window to sprout. Did you do that?

The equivalent of that would be to use a wide, shallow container with a paper towel in the bottom and some air holes poked in the top. Dampen the paper towel and put the seeds on top. You want the humidity to be fairly high but again, if it's too wet, the seeds will rot. Keep an eye on the seeds and dampen the paper towel every few days to keep it as evenly moist as possible.

If this sounds too complicated, I used to do my sprouts in the sprouter sold by Johnny's seeds. It worked beautifully.
Good luck!
