PeggyAnn.....Yup, we are at 6500 feet elevation. It can happen anytime after August 15th. That is why I have to have a greenhouse. :) My sister may be moving to Redmond, WA from Chandler, AZ. I know that she will enjoy your weather!

Sherone - 'Looks like you have a great title for a children's story book there! :) I cannot believe you've had a frost already! We just started having 90 degree weather last week (Lord help me!) - just in time for fall! How awesome that you have a greenhouse! What are you planning to grow this winter? I'm so excited for you, and looking forward to hearing all about it! Hugs - Nini

Sherone: I think I would have enjoyed the frost! I am ready for serious cold weather. LOL

Connie...ahhh, to have enough tomatoes for spaghetti sauce. I did harvest a few green peppers from the greenhouse. Might go well in spaghetti sauce.

Nini....We are planning on lettuce, spinach, radishes and kale for winter. We will get crops until the end of November. Then the wild Wyoming wind kicks in and even the cold weather crops go pahtoot! I have heated it in years past, just to have the organic produce. However, organic produce is easily accessible in our area, so it isn't economically feasible.

Bear...Summer is a very busy time for us farmgirls. Fall is too. I look forward to a novel, a blankie, and a warm fire. :)
