Linda, I am building them from your instructions, just smaller. So I am using 2 & 1/2" squares and strips also. I took a picture of the first one but had no luck getting out to load. I will try again tomorrow.

That is a great pattern. I think I'd like to use it for the Valentines fabrics. LOL! I've seen it made up and it is a beautiful pattern.

Ladies, I now have five completed tops. One more is ready for the strips to be sewn in. I must cut more. I think I have enough ten inch squares for two more. I am so excited. Linda, I love the pattern you modified. It goes together so quickly. Of course I have not put the borders around them yet. I will need to get some batting also.
I must share a great joy I have. A young woman contacted me through Facebook messenger today. She was one of my first graders in 1978! She put a photo of a book I had given her for making 100 on her spelling test each week. Then she took a photo of the message I had printed inside the cover.Amazing! That was 37 years ago, so she is about 43 or 44 now. My handwriting was and is big Even now. Then in the grocery store tonight, a young mother with three children stopped me to say they are missing me at the Lingleville school. She knew why I am not there and wished me well. Once again I am humbled and once again I am reminded that people are always watching us. It sure helps to have Jesus with me at all times. My heart is filled to overflowing with love.

Joyce -

Glad the fabric arrived. That didn't take too long. Sorry you have to cut your own squares. I thought it was easier to keep the remaining fabrics whole. LOL!

I can't wait to see that fabric, Amy. Who is the manufacturer. I can't find it on line. This has been such a fun swap.

It's called "Off to Grandmas" by Susan Winget. I got it at JoAnn Fabrics. Looks like they still have it in stock online: http://www.joann.com/susan-winget-holiday-insporations-fabric-red-truck-christmas%C2%A0/13507991.html

April, thanks for the info about the pickup truck fabric. I ordered a yard. I also ordered a yard of the deer in the garden. I have a yard of the deer and it is beautiful, this one is different but may be a companion print.

Howdy, so far I have finished my top as far as I can go. I am waiting for Callenes and then I am adding a few to it so I can add on one more row on the right of it. Take a look at it so far.

Yes there is a boo boo in it that I need to fix. Did not see it till I took the picture. and I think the picture is sideways. Oh well you get the idea.
