HEADS-UP for Valentines 10" fabric swap!
My next fabric squares swap will be for Valentine's Day - so Valentines and red/white/pink? fabrics. If interested in participating, be watching for fabrics. I will start sign-ups in mid-December, with mail-outs first week of January so you have time to use the fabrics for something special for Valentine's day - table runner, quilt, potholders?

So far this week I have received fabric from Rose and Linda! Thank you. ladies!! I've never seen either of those fabrics! So pretty!
Have you noticed the wider variety in Christmas colors and prints. When I was younger (when mom was still sewing) You would see red, green, black and white. Hardly ever a print. So, she did a lot of applique creating her own print/design. Then my MIL was sewing Christmas skirts and placemats with the usual Christmas red and green and white. There were several prints. Now, we have so many prints, colors, shades and subjects! Well, its just like Christmas every day in the mail!

Heads-up everyone. The envelopes sent out last week with my return label are from Joyce - you should have received the ones from me, a week ago. LOL! Joyce's fabrics are both primarily green.

I received fabrics from Rose, Judith, Diana, and I received Joyce's fabrics as well over the last couple of days. The fabrics are just lovely. I cannot wit to put my quilt together!!
If anyone has not received fabric from me yet let me know. I have some extra squares. I don't totally trust the mail....

These are the ones I have received so far. I agree, I like all the different fabrics. Please let me know if you do not receive one from me. I also agree, I do not trust the Post office.

I am having so much fun with my squares and some I cut from my stash as well. I am setting them together in rows of three. They will be child size quilts. Three ten inch squares across and four long. Since I had already made two appliqued Christmas quilts
for the grand daughters, I thought of making these for Hadlee to give to the chidrens
hospital that she spent time in when her brain tumor was found and removed.she is excited and has promised to help. She was given a sweet child sized quilt, pillows with pillowcases, blankets and Build a Bear Teddy's when she was there.

That is so sweet of you, Marilyn. And what a great way to use the squares. Are you sashing them? Or just square to square? That is a wonderful project for Hadlee, too.

So far I have received squares from Linda, Marilyn, Joyce, Beverley, Diana, Judith, Maryellen, Rose, Denise, and Rebecca. Just a few more to go and then all I will need is the time to put my quilt together. This has been a fun swap. Can't wait for the other fabric swaps as well.
