I am super excited to start planning our 2016 vacation. My DH, Matt, said something about it twice over the weekend, so I need to get planning!!! He gets 3 weeks vacay next year. We are planning a long trip west! Preliminary travel plans are looking like this:
Southern IN
Sioux Falls (actually De Smet to see Ingall's sites) SD
Black Hills SD (passing through the are of WY Shannon wants me to see.)
Yellowstone area (only a few days)
Coeur D'Alene ID (hoping to see MaryJane!!!! :) )
Olympic Pen, WA (I have been wanting to vacay here for years)
Home through Salt Lake
Denver (visit a couple friends for a couple of days)
Lincoln NE (Homestead Museum??)
Back Home
SOOOOO if you live in any of these areas and can offer advice!!!!!

Anyone who has been to Coeur D'Alene.... Where is a good place to stop one night? And, MaryJane, hopefully I can catch you??? :) It is a stop between Yellowstone and Oly Pen.

Alisha, take time in SLC to see Temple Square and downtown Salt Lake. It is a beautiful city. If you are going to Denver, via SLC on I-80, you will be going right by my house. Let me know if you need a dinner stop!

If you're taking I-90 through Missoula to Cd'A, you should stop in and pet a yak :)

If you're going to the Olympic Peninsula, take a side trip to see Seattle. It's an amazing, vibrant city! You have to see Pike Place Market!

I actually would really like to see Pikes Place. But will have to see if we can get into the city or not. My husband is not really good in the city.
