I had a jackpot today... An interesting card from Debbie in Alaska. I really like to read the backs with all of the information.
A San Francisco card from Dahl. I wonder if it still takes an entire year to paint that bridge.
A log cabin card from RoDonna. I am building a greenhouse from timbers I had milled and joined them at the corners with saddle notches like a log cabin. I wonder what they chinked the cabin in this picture with. When I took log cabin class many years ago we were told that people used spaghnum moss.

Joyce what a lovely family. A beautiful place to live. Thank Your for sharing pictures of your family and the area you live.
Debbie I love the Polar Bear post card. It reminds of the time I was at a zoo and a polar bear was sitting on a rock and appeared to be waving at people. Got a picture of it somewhere.

Many thanks to Dahl, Amy, Joyce, and RoDonna for the beautiful and interesting postcards.
Mine are going out in the next 2 weeks. We had to make an emergency trip to TN because my MIL has been put on hospice.

YesterdayI received an interesting card from Amy. When I was a teen I went to Martha's Vineyard sailing camp for a month. It was run by one of the Girl Scout councils. I passed my Senior Life saving for the first time there. It was in the ocean and the waves were choppy. I thought I was lucky to live through the final test.

I'm finally catching up on my thank yous from the cards that arrived while I was away!
RoDonna sent a beautiful card with Derby horses and the Old Kentucky Home on it. Kentucky is such a beautiful state. Some Derby runners are trained right here in Delaware, and I love Stephen Foster songs-- thanks so much!
From Debbie I got a card from Alaska with a delightful photo of a polar bear and some really interesting info about them. Visiting your state is on my bucket list, Debbie, thank you for the card to dream on!
Hi Joyce, and I really loved seeing your family on your card. How darling your kids are! A trip across Canada by train is also on my bucket list-- maybe I'll see you some day! :)
And finally, Connie, thank you for your thank you!:) I hope to move to the Vineyard in the not too distant future, and if I do you'll have a place to stay if you visit!
I sure will miss the postcards when the swap is over. What a spirit booster they have been!

Very neat postcard, Portia. Came in the mail today. I love the pictures. WOW! Retiring to Ecuador is really a far place to go to.
My boyfriend and I are booking a cruise for the 1st week of December - to Cozumel, Belize, and Mahogany Bay Honduras. He does volunteer medical work in Honduras, but then he is in the inland mountains - we will see a different part of Honduras. Can't wait. Maybe next year my postcards will be pics of the Caribbean?
