I too received a postcard from Portia. So pretty! THat is one country I have not studied much about... perhaps the kids and I will either this year or next!

I ready to travel - and may just take you up on that invite, Portia. My boyfriend and I just booked a cruise to Cozumel, Belize, and Mahogany Bay Honduras. He is a surgical nurse and goes to inland Honduras about once a year - next time I'm going to try and go with him to help check patients in or something. Do what I can, anyway. Ecuador sounds like an interesting place.

Portia, thank you for the card with scenes from Equador. It's so pretty! I'm excited for you to be realizing your dream and moving there! Gives me hope for my own dream move to Martha's Vineyard in a few years. Dreams can really come true -- hooray for Portia! :)

I received a postcard from Carla today. I love the scenes from Florida.
I've received 23 postcards - I am also missing 4.
This is such a fun swap - and I love the way they are spread out over the summer.

Up to 21 cards now. Just got one from Betty yesterday.
The Cowboys Stadium sure look huge! Always thought parking could be a nightmare at those places. lol

I received Betty's postcard yesterday. And I haven't ever seen one of those Jackalopes, either. LOL! Love the postcard.
And I just found a stack of my postcards from Prague, Germany, St. Lucia, San Juan PR, Alaska, and Ireland. Maybe I will surprise people with them this year. All favorite vacation spots for me.

Portia, how exciting to travel to your favorite spot and future home! The pictures of Cuenca, Ecuador are just beautiful!
Karla, thank you, for the lovely, colorful postcard of the Florida gulf. I actually visited the Florida gulf and walked a beach. Very hot; but, beautiful!
Betty, that field of Texas Bluebonnets is gorgeous! Seeing a field in bloom is on my bucket list as well as visiting Texas at least once.

Received a great card from Betty with a Texas Longhorn on it. What a majestic looking creature! And a card from Karla with pictures of the Gulf coast of Florida-- one of my favorite places! Thanks to both of you!

I have been delinquent in my posting of the fine cards I have received.
Today I received one from Nini. I enjoyed reading all you wrote. I love to tour gardens. There are several garden tours around here one in MOntpelier and one in Burlington. They are people's private homes.
I received a card from Betty several days ago. I will have to look on the map to see where you live. I thought Galveston was on the ocean and you are east of there so maybe near Louisiana but probably far because Texas is so big.
Karla's card arrived as well. The beaches are so white. The beaches here in New England are not so white and spots have lots of big rocks.
Before that I received the card from Portia. I guess you speak Spanish. You are so lucky to have that option. Our neighbors purchased a house in Mexico several years ago and spend the winters there.

I received Nini's card over the weekend. I love the picture of the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Pittsburgh, PA.
I now am missing just 2 cards.

I'm so glad you girls like the postcard! What took me so long was that my hand kept going numb while writing all of that detail in such tiny letters! LOL! Well, actually, THAT plus the constant interruptions due to the flurry of activities going on here. Thanks for your patience! Enjoy!
Amy - It's so funny you say that. When my boss back home in RI heard we were moving to Pittsburgh, he about had a bird. I can STILL hear him saying, "You're moving to Pittsburgh? To PITTSBURGH? WHY? It's so filthy there. It's the armpit of the nation!!!" He had no idea, either. I think the whole smoggy, steel mill thing is what sticks out most in people's minds when they hear, "Pittsburgh." SO different today! It's a wonderful, wonderful place to visit, if you ever can! :)

Amy - LOVE the tall ship picture from Martha's Vineyard! I used to live on the Cape, so I know how much you must love the island! :) We used to go see the tall ships in Newport - what an amazing sight to see! :) Thank you!

Betty - Love how Texas looks so small on that postcard! LOL! But I know how HUGE of a state it is, indeed! My son really wants to visit there one day! What a cool place to live - so rich in history and wonderful sights to see! Thank you!
