She is so pretty with her markings! I hope the weather improves as more arrive too. Are you doing OK these days with such awful weather?

Thanks ladies! The babies always make me so happy :)

Winnie - We've had a few challenges, but overall we're doing good. Last year was a lot tougher and we learned a lot :) This year is cold but, unlike last year we've had a couple days here and there that it warms up. And we haven't had as much snow. Last winter we had ~70 inches of snow but this year we've had 21 so far. The cows actually do much better with cold than they do heat. As long as we keep everything dry (teats on the milking cows, ears on the new babies, etc.) they do ok. They spend a lot of time in the barn if it's too windy, but yesterday it was only in the teens and since there was no wind they were all going out to the lot to soak up sun. I forget the word MaryJane used in her blog about the cats in the sun, but that's what the cows were doing. My little kitten (it's a barn cat not a house cat) even loves to play in the snow. I think the animals are much better at adapting than we are :) If only there was a way to get water buckets to adapt and not freeze....LOL!

Heather- I am so glad to hear that all is pretty normal for you this winter. It all sounds so impossible to me when I listen to the news!! Take care!!

Winnie - It's funny to me that you say that. Just the other day my husband and I were talking about what's "cold". It hit 20 and it felt so nice. I went out to get the mail only wearing a sweatshirt! In the fall when it starts getting a high of 50 rather than the 70's everyone talks about how cold it is, but come spring when it's 50 it's amazingly "so warm"! It's funny how mother nature has a way of changing the way we look at things :) I hope it's warming up for you. Winter can be pretty brutal when you're not used to it.

Jasmine was having a lot of fun playing in the snow today. We got about 8 inches or so and she was out jumping and sniffing it. It was pretty warm today so I rather enjoyed the snow myself :)

Jasmine is beautiful. I'm sure there have been others since her birth. I wish you all the best, especially those adorable babies.

Thanks ladies. There has been more. As soon as I have a little more time I'll post some more pictures. Calves are my favorite part of dairy farming :)
