Gearing up for spring, I'm starting the list for a spring Apron Swap. I'd like for these to be hand-made aprons, so if you do not sew from scratch, email me and we can come up with a simple idea that will work for you! You can always email me; I have lots of ideas and patterns for aprons.

There are lots of ideas and patterns on Pinterest and on the Internet. I know Mary Janes Farm magazine and books also have patterns. I have a reversible apron that I just LOVE making and wearing. I also make recycled jeans aprons, using the tops-with-pockets of old jeans and adding fun and colorful skirts.

And Here's a link to the Mary Janes Farm Clothespin Apron pattern. The link and picture of the apron was in the newest Feb-Mar issue of Mary Janes Farm magazine. Very easy and useful for clothespins, gardening, or whatever you need apron pockets for.

Asiyah -

To answer your question, there are no set criteria for joining a swap. Any MJFG on good standing with swap hostesses is welcome to participate. Good standing means fulfillment of swap criteria on previous MJFG swaps. When you join a swap you should correspond with your partner (when posted) to exchange mailing information, to ask any questions you might have (For example, if you are trying to match colors in their kitchen), and to complete the swap by sending the required item for the swap - in this case an apron. I hope this helps. Tucks are always appreciated in your mailing, but they are not required.

The MJFG swaps are a lot of fun and we have a great opportunity to learn more about our farmgirl sisterhood members and their creative talents. I can't wait to see all the different aprons that we come up with in this swap. Have fun with it.

I have a stock pile of hand sewn aprons. They are all reversible full and half. Some repurposed out of the backs of blue jeans and some children's aprons. I'm still thinking on this one Linda.
