Grace, Love Love Love the quilt! It turned out wonderful.
Sara, your bee houses sound great. If you can, would love to see a photo!
I have hit a road bump! I started the 2 aprons and then just couldn't bring myself to sew them together, hence, they are laying on my sewing table. UGH! I did, however, picked up my quilt and have been working on it some. I've completed 2 hoops so all is not lost. |

Sometimes we get fatigued with one project and have to just move on to another. As long as the alternate project is another UFO, it is all good.

Grace I love the quilt! It's so cute! I can't believe your motivation... you're like a machine!
I haven't been getting too many UFO's done, but I have been working on other things. Mostly swaps. My craft room got a little out of control again, but I've cleaned it this morning, and I'm ready to start some sewing projects! Thanks for being a get-it-done inspiration! :)

Haven't posted for a while, but I have been working on a UFO. With the really cold weather and snow I really got into working on my quilt. I think I have done 3 or 4 hoops. Know that doesn't sound like much but it is a big ... can you say ... BIG quilt. King size. Here is a pic of some of the work.

Thanks Grace. I've finished another hoop! Moving ON!!!!!!
Grace, I recommend an easy one. That way you get one done quicker and gets you back in the groove. |

tru dat Theresa,... I pulled out my sewing basket (last night) and stitched up a handful of 'yoyos' and did some 'English Paper Pieceing'. I had previously cut the fabric out, but had not started the stitching and my basket was getting full(er)...
On the plus side, I did manage to move my stash of UFO's from one side of the room to the other... does that count? lolol!

ok, I was working on a costume for an upcoming Glamping trip, when I spotted an unfinished "UFO" in my other basket,,, yikes! I had cut apart a man's shirt for a future apron project so in true scatter brained mode,,, I pulled it out and stitched up an apron, like the one posted in the Farmgirl Jubilee section...
I even incorporated the shirt label...

Cute apron Grace! The jubilee apron is also on my unfinished list. I'm working on necklaces for my etsy shop right now...
Once those are done and listed I plan to work on my swaps, and apron! :)

Gee! I feel as if I am a slacker. I was hoping for a break from my after school teaching and I didn't get it. Maybe later.

Erin, Luv those necklace pendants..
Theresa, I hear ys... Lot's to do,,, and in my case, lots of UFO's too! lol!
As for the apron re-purposed from a man's shirt, the shirt was a Thrift find for $1.99,,, , I washed it, cut it up, ironed it and then put it in the 'fabric basket'... a year later,, I found it and decided to make this apron, which by the way is probably one of the easiest pattern I have used (from the Farmgirl jubilee site)... I just might have to make a few more, I have 3 B-days gifts coming up and this would be cute and quick,,,

Yay! Looks like I made it in just under the one-year mark! I **finally** finished my fancy work apron from The Stitching Room! I posted a picture of the fabric when I started it - on March 30, 2014! (http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/snitz/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=39835&whichpage=138)
Here's the finished product!
My next UFO is a cross-stitched table runner I started in July as a Christmas gift for a dear friend of mine. I think that deadline was a little too ambitious, so my new goal is to present it to her as "Welcome, Spring!" gift later this month. I have to finish the backstitching on one of the flower motifs, stitch various insects in between - bees and dragonflies - then sew the stitched piece onto fabric with cording and tassels.
Here's where it stands now.
I hope to share some serious progress on it in the coming days!

Sue those are both so cute! I love the fabric you used for your apron. It's so bright and cheery! :)

Thanks, Erin! I love that I was able to find such a great combination of fabrics in a stash someone gave away!
By the way, when I saw that you live in Monroeville, I had to search to see if it is close to me. I'd love to have other farmgirls to get together with...of the chapters closest to me, some aren't accepting members and others haven't replied to emails. Guess I'll have to start my own!
Also, my number is 3727, so we joined somewhat close together!
