Okay, I have two weeks to work on UFOs. So far I have finished the following all mending:

Jeans I mended for a friend.
Converted DH's new wallet from a snap-shut to a fold over.
Mended the bottom seam on two laundry bags I had to cut after using them to wash some yarn my cat peed on. I will be using them tomorrow to wash a yarn project that the cat also peed on.

I want my smiley faces!

Marie - that is NOT a nice cat! My cat likes fabric, but at least she doesn't pee on it.

I have at least 8 quilts that just need binding - hopefully can get them done very soon - not sure I will get them done in 2015, but 2016 for sure.

Grace I do hope you will start a UFO thread for 2016. I don't have any UFOs to start out the New Year but I so like to read about them.

Hi, just opened MJF today and it went straight to this UFO thread. Ha Ha. The Fates are trying too tell me something.

Behind me is a tote that has a quilt I started at least 6 years ago (shhh, maybe a bit longer).
It's a Geneaology quilt for my son and DIL. All family members have appliqued hand prints on it with there names. Then I did hand blanket stitches around the hands.

Every time I was close to finishing it someone announced they were going to o have a baby i.e.,new grand child.

Now, ten grand children later--DONE! I just have to hand bind one Very Long side!!! Gonna get it done today and make it their Christmas present this year.
At Last. LOL!!

So please, let's continue this fun UFO blog in 2016. It's a lovely place to make new friends, and encourage this professional procrastinator to finish my seven ??? unfinished quilts ( oldest dating back to 1993 -- now that's a different story).

My cat really isn't mean. He just knows what he wants and expresses himself in a way that I cannot ignore. I believe on this instance his litter box was disgusting. He is jealous of my little dog Morgan and makes whittles wherever he sleeps and whenever he get jealous. He's kind of a boss cat.

I decided I am totally cheating on Emi's Christmas present... I have a blanket that I started before she was ever born, to be her playmate/tummy-time blanket. Soon for Christmas I am taking this UFO and turning it into a gift :) The backing and batting were cut last night. I think I am going to machine quilt it, but am honestly not sure the best way to do it!

Shannon - you could also tie the quilt. Or just stitch "in the ditch" What is the pattern?

Hmmm tying might be an option.... the front is large square bears with border around them. I'll see if I can upload a picture. I have been having issues with that lately. I thought about stitching in the ditch, but the backing is two pieces sewn in the middle, which doesn't work with the front.

Been a while since I posted. Have been crazy busy making Christmas gifts. I did work on an UFO, unfortunately I found an error and need to start over. My sister gave me some really nice wool about 5 years ago to weave a hall runner and I was about 3 1/2 feet into it when I found the error. Now I have to unweave about 2 feet and start again. I will not get it done for Christmas as I had hoped but I will get 'r done. When I do I will be sure to post it.

I can't say enough how much everyone here inspires me to keep on keeping on! Thanks a million

Shannon, the quilt is adorable. Whether you quilt it or tie it, she will love it.
I have another thought. For those of us in a panic at Christmas, Valentine's day is coming up. Those presents could be presented then, right? Just a thought.

Judith, yes I did, from a block of wood and with a knife. hahaha. Here is a picture of a spoon I did for the Healing Hooves of Kingman AZ

and I did a celtic love spoon for a friend of mine who just got married and am working on a calla lily right now.

The spoons are about 14 inches long. All are food safe except for the love spoon.

here is a pic of the love spoon.

Theresa,
Your love spoon is gorgeous. My hubby made several a few years ago after our travels in Wales, where he saw many and was inspired. He's made different sizes, lengths and with different designs!
