Spent the Day with Lucy... (my feather weight machine)
Well girls,,, I haven't worked on any of my UFO's... but at least I am focused (for now) on getting 5 memory lap quilts completed..
1. squares cut.
2. squares layed out and numbered.. (simple 6" blocks).
3. finished sewing one of the lap quilts (still need to back & bind).
4. working on machine embroidering them...
5. gonna need to make a trip into town to buy backing, batting and binding.
fingers crossed these won't become UFO's... lol!

| My sister and I spent Sunday at a day long retreat to make holiday gifts. We had so much fun. I put the borders on a wall hanging I started many years ago, and borders on a small autumn wall hanging. I'm hoping to get them quilted this weekend, but will post the pictures now, because I never though I would even get this far on them. For some reason they end up in a bag somewhere....The reindeer wall hanging, has been "in process" for more than a decade. |

I had a great day with my sister and met some other really sweet ladies. Our big retreat is the weekend after next and it can't come soon enough. I need the break from work.

Thanks Grace!. I am really hoping I can hang it this christmas, since it was pretty labor intensive. All the reindeer noses are made with french knots.

Grace, I did candle wicking a long time ago. I liked it because it went quickly so it was some quick gratification. I should look into it again. I wonder if they still sell the stuff for it.
I see another UFO in my future, oh wait I have some already!!

Confession... I went shopping the other day and added to my list :/ We all know these projects that's have planned will soon become UFOs. In fact, other than items for swaps, I am not sure I have finished ANY projects this year! That is a hard pill to swallow!

The new projects usually have deadlines, so I always seem to get them done first - before all the UFOs. LOL!
