Terralea -

I know Betty got her bag. Has yours arrived yet? It should have been there last week by Wednesday or Thursday. If you have gotten it, I can post a picture of both bags. Thanks!

Well, my dgd returned camera. So, I can post pic of my clothespin bag from Jami. Jami showed true farm girl "will do" attitude! This bag was sewn by hand..with a badly sprained wrist no less. It's made with very soft toweling in just the right colors for moi! Even the hanger is completely wrapped in lace. Now, I have a confession. There was also a lovely, fluffy, lace flower clipped to the front of the bag. It is so pretty; but, alas, it left the house clipped to dgd's pretty hair! What's a gma to do? Say No? Heaven forbid. Jami writes the best notes and letters. I am pleased to have her as a new MJF pen pal. Thank you, so much, Jami!
Another confession. Even though this bag will work outdoors I am planning to hang it in my sewing room to hold notions or current patterns I am working on.

Brenda, I will cherish those clothespins even more, knowing they came from your beloved friend!!! I love Vintage things and the stories about them! That is why my house is so crowded, I can't BEAR to part with my Granny, Great- Granny and Great Aunt Mattie's things. They were all raised on the Farm and all quilted!
I squeezed my Great Aunt Mattie's dish cabinets in my dining room, because I cherish the memories of when I was a child, getting a kid's glass(those colored Aluminum ones) from the 2nd shelf from the bottom!

I have friends and family who never tire of telling me they don't match my other furniture! I have a style for my home, it is called "what I love"!

Ms. Connie...You and I definitely have the same "style"!!!The older I get the more I love my style...I too am crowded and never seem to have enough room to display "my lovelies":):):)My family knew nothing but farming as a means of taking care of themselves ever since I can remember...I love all the stories about "days of old"...and I keep my Mom and Granny's memories alive in my kitchen everyday...I have quite a bit of my Moms things displayed and my Granny's apron hangs there everyday:):):)

Hugs!

Julie - I am going to make some of that laundry soap - I just need to get 2 more bars of zote and one other ingredient.
Brenda - Love the story about the clothespins from a friend.
Connie - I am like you - I save things to remember good moments or people - i have a lot of my mother's and grandmother's things, a platform rocker and settee of my great aunts, dishes and linens of my mothers and great grandmothers, and a table and chair of my mothers. My house is very eclectic.
Jami - I love the idea of using in the sewing room. I may just steal that idea from you.
Here's a picture of the clothespin bags I sent to Betty and Terralea - I know Betty got hers but haven't heard a word from Terra. I sure hope she got it.

I'm still watching the mail daily for my bags - can't wait to see the, use them, and post pics.
Let's see MORE pictures, please. Everyone is doing a wonderful job.

Sherry, I am overwhelmed with joy at the box of goodies you sent me. I can not tell you how much I LOVE your sewing abilities! I hope to one day be half as talented! Ladies, just LOOK at this gorgeous farmgirl bag! Makes me so happy!

I am a slow crafter who is teaching myself to sew so I do not have yours out in the mail yet, but I will very soon, I promise! My goal is to have it to you in time for the 1st day of Spring!

Oh my goodness, LOOK what Bonnie designed and made for me!!!!!!!!!

See the little Red Tractor embroidered in the lower right corner of the white fabric?? Is this not the cutest chicken clothespin holder? Bonnie designed it for me too. What true Farmgirl creativity again!! We all have been so blessed with the prettiest and most creative clothespin holders ever! Such a terrific swap. The other goodies included a darling hand towel, extra clothespins, a magnetic notepad (always needed in the kitchen) and a great and pretty tote.

Thank-you Bonnie for such a fun and lovely swap! I just love what you created for me!!
