o.k. ... not starting a political thingie here .. but gotta' say oh yeaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!

now mind you .. i am not 'pro' any particular political party ... i look at issues and the character of the person i vote for ... and yes, sometimes .. even that seems to backfire on us ... but people will be people .. and they are ever-changing .. and we just have to keep up with it and act on what we are passionate about.

i came up here to to toledo to watch over my little 'buttercup' and 'beefcake' grandchilluns up to the elections .. cuz' if a certain poliltician won in ohio (can't say who at this point) ... both our daughter and son-in-love will have great jobs at their access. Son-in-love .. has worked long and hard hours for his political party .. since he was a teenager! (he is a Lucas County City Councilman .. and i think his son, our little grandson, lucas was probably the first 'child' to proclaim Strickland .. GOVERNOR of Ohio .. when he rushed past government 'big-wigs' and positioned himself first in line a few months ago ... proclaiming he wanted to meet "Governor Strickland" .. (who had not YET won!)

i know many people got real tired of all the slamming ads and all the corruption that sometimes comes with 'power'. but, this is what our nation is all about .. freedom to elect our choices. it just takes some research on our own and paying attention to figure out the good guys from the bad guys .. (and women!) ... and oh yesssssss ... power can corrupt .. i've seen it over and over during my career in D.C. ... working for politicians most of my life ... BUT .. i have also seen many, many honorable and honest leaders .. they just don't always get 'the headllines' that so many people seem to thrive on!

our system may not be 'perfect' .. but i wouldn't trade it for any other 'system' in the world!

but anyhoooooo ... i'll be up here for a couple more weeks .. while our kids keep working on their futures .. then back home to kentucky and my honey-hunk!

xo
