I had kidney stone surgery about 2 weeks ago. The surgeon said he had never seen so many stones in both sides. He said I had about 30 stones in each kidney. I asked if he was kidding and he said no. My PTH is high, calcium levels are normal, but have lots of high numbers like oxalates, phos., and some others. The uro. and endo are perplexed to what is going on. I did have a hyperparathyroid surgery to remove 3 of my 4 parathyroids. I am at a loss. I did read that people with extreme digestion issues can have this happen. I fit right in that category. I am just hoping someone will read this and know what the answer is. I am scared to death they stones will grow back. I am on the diet for this, but wonder if it there is another cause. |
