Winter's fading fast.
Season's change is in the air.
Feel it when you breathe!

This seasonal Haiku is more of a season of my life, rather than a season of the year.

43 YEARS

Waking, at three a.m.,
To a kiss and a cuddle,
This is lasting love.

My Mom didn't trust the "city" boy I brought home. I wish she would have known what a good life we'd have.

Awww... that warms my heart, Susan! I'm so happy for you! I'm sure she knows somehow...and is smiling! :)

Our neighbor and I
Long so for our garden chats
‘Glad spring’s almost here!

Happy day!

Hugs -

Do birds use feeder?
There are many seeds on ground.
I will look away.

Marie, I had to chuckle when I saw your post. The snow is melting here and I am having a similar reaction, thinking of all the weed seeds that are going to be in my flowerbed!

Smell the damp cold earth,
snow melts to liquid silver,
painted blue by sky.

Snow is sinking down,
Soil peeking under the trees,
These are signs of spring!

Brenda, Actually, I use no-waste outdoor bird food but that wouldn't fit in the haiku. LOL

Marie,
I like the picture that paints!

Sticky, wet spring snow
Blankets all I can see.
Tracks turn into slush.

Hyacinths burst forth…
The ground is slowly warming…
Spring has almost sprung!

Many things to do
Waiting for the spring to come.
Well, now or never.

Birds chirp happily
As I wake to sunkissed morn
Brighter days ahead!

First glimpses of green
Are heralding coming spring.
The earth is smiling!

Thank goodness for spring -
The wayward chill is passing!
A new dawn approaches!

Sealing all in ice,
Then dusting lightly with snow,
Winter won't give up!

Snow snakes across road.
Just a little snow they say.
We shall have to see.

Wow! Sixty degrees.
Dogs sitting on old snow piles
Trying to cool off.

Fresh air in the breeze
Wipes away the winter cold.
Open the windows!

To be opened and treasured,
Gift of a new day.

Spring on the prairie
Shooting stars starting to peak
Out of the cold ground

Through the soft spring night,
The frogs are peeping love songs,
Lulling us to sleep.
