Thank you Judith!

I put a new 3-prong plug on the trailer cord this morning. Almost forgot it needed than until we unplugged it the other day to take it on a trip down the road. Tried some light bulbs in one of the fixtures to see if they would work so we'd have spares. In the next day or so I'll finish putting the flower boxes together (with silk flowers). Maybe look at what can be put in the trailer for our excursions, but will also wait until my daughter is here to consult/help with that.

It's a maiden voyage for my daughter, me and the trailer . . .

Cj,,, hope this helps you..

_Backing a trailer is always a source of anxiety for most new and many seasoned Sisters. I use this technique when backing up, hopefully it will help someone else.

Gracie, I've heard of that technique and have it in my mind. We'll see how things go.
I'm just hoping that this chilly rainy weather is gone by then. Camping in our mountains brings chilly nights anyway!
One thing I think we can look forward to is being able to have a campfire. Because of the drought situation for the past several years there has been a fire ban this time of year, which only gets lifted when the monsoon rains start. . in which I don't want to camp!

So, here's hoping!

Window boxes are done! I made the boxes from recycled aluminum siding I took off of an old camper that we demolished. Cut it up, cleaned it up, bent it around, used wood pieces in the ends and they hang very handily on a rod that goes across the bottom of the jalousie windows. I'm not using real flowers because I don't want the weight or worry of keeping them alive and watered.

I put silk flowers in them today, but I don't have those pics yet . . . in day or so and I will post pics of them on the trailer! So, stay tuned! I think they look pretty sweet!

Here are two of the flower boxes. There are four boxes and the flowers are all the same ones, just arranged slightly differently in each box. I really like them and my hubby thought they were lovely too!

This box is on the side by the door and in full sun at time of picture taking.

This box is on the front of the trailer in the shade of the rock guard which I put up.

CeeJay, You have your camper so fixed up that you will need to figure out how to keep it open all summer after your trip! Maybe invite friends over from church for a light lunch or tea every week to enjoy your cute camper!

Thanks girls!

Winnie, we had some friends over last evening for coffee and dessert. Two couples we used to go to church with, one couple now lives in the Albuquerque, NM area. The gals were just ga-ga over the glamper and it was such fun to share all the little details with them and participate in their enjoyment! I had been doing some work in it yesterday afternoon, arranging this and that and decided to hang two of the flower boxes, put up the rock guard and hang the Battenburg border around it, and put out the welcome sign. It was fun!

And, I do have some ideas for setting it up here in the yard for summer activities with friends!

I'm pretty ga ga over your camper too. You did a splendid job. Those flowers look so beautiful. You have it looking so good you may just have that one sit in your yard and get another one to go glamping. lol

We actually sat on our deck for our coffee and dessert with our friends. BUT, the trailer isn't far away and it is in full view! After our trip, I hope to set up a little table with some chairs out closer to it. I don't want to set up TOO much during the glamping season cuz then I have to move it all so I can pull the trailer out!

The maiden voyage starts today, in a little bit! It's been really hot the past few days, so getting loaded up, hooked up and ready has been hot and sweaty. We have had a glitch in the lights but came up with plan B.

So, PLEASE PRAY FOR US as we start out on the adventure . . for safety, smoothness and things to work properly.
Robin and I are certainly NEWBIES at this! It's exciting but it's also a bit scary!

Thanks to all! We'll be off grid until Thursday, so don't be looking for anything from us until then

PRAYERS APPRECIATED!!!
THANK YOU!
HUGS!

We're back from our first adventure! Doing laundry, reorganizing and will head out for our second adventure on Saturday to a different campground.

We had a WONDERFUL TIME! Great campground, campground hosts, friendly and fun neighbors! It was just what I needed and the time with my daughter . . . priceless!

More later!!

Thanks for your prayers! I'll be back!

DAY ONE: Monday afternoon we pull into our site and set up our little trailer and canopy all glamped out and girly.
-A little after suppertime a couple comes walks by, the man comes over (his wife goes on by) and tells us our site looks like something out of Sunset magazine. He was very complimentary, friendly and funny. We had a nice conversation and he told us he really liked what we had done.
-Our hosts are a husband/wife team and she comes by, oooing and ahhhing and telling us that she's never seen anything like it and loves it. Tealling us it is "so neat and unique".
- Host husband comes by later and says he really likes it and he noticed the flower boxes under the windows . . . "I really like the flowers".

I go to bed, thanking the Lord for a safe trip for the "maiden voyage" for this little vintage trailer, for the perfect campsite and for the time with my daughter.

Thanks for letting me share and come back for more tales!
Pics will be posted as well!
