CeeJay you do glamp in beauty & style. Love it! The curtains on the canopy caught my eye - that extra touch put it over the top for me.
Have a blessed day, Sara ~~~ FarmGirl Sister #6034 8/25/14 Lord put your arm around my shoulders and your hand over my mouth.

DAY TWO: Enjoyed sitting in the shade of the Colorado Blue Spruce trees, did some embroidery, reading and visiting. Short walks around camp and a wade in the cool refreshing water of the Dolores River. In the evening, a couple walks by, the lady asks of our site "is this a wedding?" I said, "Oh no, it's our campsite!". Later that same evening our campground host told us that on our first evening there someone asked him if there was a "wedding down there?".
We wend on a hike the morning of our second day there and later that day, a very humorous neighbor that had visited us came by and told us, "oh, by the way, we had a wedding and reception here while you were gone . . . made lots of money". He was teasing us of course! We enjoyed his visits a lot because he was funny and friendly!

We are back from adventure #2 which was wonderful too, with some differences. I don't have pics downloaded yet . . . but I will soon. It was cooler and we had one rainy afternoon. We have yet to go glamping WITHOUT rain! I told Robin that someday, just someday, we'll make it . . . have a glamping adventure without rain! Guess we'll see, huh? CJ

I kinda have to "catch up" with our FIRST adventure, so I'll be back to do that with a few more pics. You can't rush a good glamping trip! Thanks for your patience with me. I DO have more to share and more pics!
We didn't have wi-fi at this campground otherwise I'd be more up-to-date. No wi-fi, no cell phone service . . . unplugged! CJ

DAY THREE at Mavreeso: We went on a hike, enjoyed a wade in the refreshing river, had a lovely lunch, made yummy supper and were invited to our neighbors for S'mores. We joined in on the fun, toasting marshmallows over the fire, dipping in Baileys Irish cream and rolling in shaved chocolate . . . YUM! Forget the graham cracker. We were visiting with two couples from Farmington, New Mexico (about 75 miles from me) and a couple from Arizona, chatting about anything and everything, laughing and enjoying the time. None of us ever introduced ourselves so we don't know any names, but it was like we were old friend. During that time we got one short, sweet mountain shower and that was it for rain on this adventure. One thing we so enjoy about camping in campgrounds is meeting people . . . we've met so many interesting folks!
Next morning it was take it all down, pack it all up, hook up and come home! We were sad to leave a wonderful campground/campsite, the best hosts and newfound friends!
Home to restock the larder, do laundry, take showers, say "HI" to the cat and kiss my hubby. (Robin's hubby was still in Arizona) CJ

Saturday, June 27th: Off on adventure #2 to Cayton Campground, north of Rico, Colorado, just a couple miles or so from the summit (10,000 feet elevation) of Lizard Head Pass. We had reservations for a different campsite than we actually had. Due to a large group of loud, rowdy campers our host here offered us a different site, which was much better anyway! It was larger, with more sunshine, etc. When you are at 9,000 feet elevation in Colorado you generally want some morning sun and evening sun! It would have been nice if the restroom was closer, but . . . oh well! We have many more pics to share, so come back, please! Thanks for letting us share! CJ

Two of our favorite glamping items!
This picnic basket is the one my mom had when I was growing up and used for our family picnics. I'm tickled all shades of pink to have it now! We use it for spices/herbs, utensils, etc. for our glamping trips

This basket I found at a thrift for $3.00, it is lined with silverware pockets inside the lid and other pockets all around the sides. We use this one for our plates, cups, bowls, etc. We DO use real china and do have some vintage melmac plates we use. They are all wrapped and cushioned with our kitchen towels, dishcloths and cloth napkins.
