Has anyone tried that stuff they are advertising on TV to get rid of skin tags? I have a ton of them, and a few are really irritated where my collar rubs on them, etc. My insurance doesnt' cover removing them because it is considered "cosmetic" surgery!

You know, Luanne, I had never even heard of them until we moved to PA! Now I've got a few, and am not liking them very much. Actually, I have removed them with scissors in the past - you hardly feel it. It just takes a little bit of time to work up the courage to do it, that's all. Just make sure you sanitize both the scissors and the entire area extremely well first. You can also tie them off with sewing thread to cut off the blood supply, then they will eventually fall off. Either way, they do seem to eventually come back. Nasty - aren't they?
Good luck!

The one on my neck is bothering me the most because my collar rubs on it all the time. I also have one on my face now - which is bothering my vanity! Guess I could try to get up the courage to cut one and see what happens!

Oregano essential oil dabbed on two or three times a day. Do this for a week or two, depending on the size of the skin tag, dries them up and they just fall off. Not fun things to have.

Thanks Kelly - I've never heard of oregano essential oil - where would I go to get some?

Luanne I ordered mine off ebay, Its doterra but it was cheaper on ebay also cheaper on amazon.com. I know the tags are just awful, but the oil worked well for me, easy to use. I did not use a carrier oil with it but it is strong so go light at first or use with a carrier.

You can also freeze them off. There is a product that is for warts that is the same thing that the doctor uses in his office. My doctor told me to use it ... costs about $10... Dr Scholls is more expensive, I used a generic from WalMart. My dh takes medical tape and punches a hole in it with a very small hole punch. Then places it so that the skin tag sticks out of the hole. The tape protects the surrounding skin from being "burned" from the cold. Some of the very large tags need to be treated a few times. It really works well. And you can do as many or as few as you want. It feels so nice to have a smooth neck again.
