Cingratulations MaryBeth! Isn't it so rewarding to go out to the coop and gather eggs and then bring them in and cook with them? I got a new btch of hacks the end of April, so I am waiting patiently fir them to start layin hitch won't be until September. In the meantime my old girls still give me eggs, just not asrlabky as thy used to- hence the new flock! Lol Enjoy your girls, they sure are pretty! Hugs,

I'm still on egg watch from this year's additions. We got them the first week of April, so any day now!!

Your eggs are beautiful! What kinds of chickens did you get? I am so glad you are enjoying the fruits of your labor.

The brown ones are Buff Orpingtons and they lay brown eggs and the black ones are French Marans and they lay dark brown eggs. Of course since there are only two of us humans now--we get way more eggs than we can eat or bake with so care packages go here and there. They sure are good though. MB
