My father always loved the image of lavender fields so this year I grew a few plants that grew beautifully! Today I harvested the flowers to use at home and it was a bit emotional since dad has only been gone three months. But I know he is smiling.

Grief is a tough companion but eventually you will discover one day he isn't as close as he used to be. Your lavender is awesome. Thanks so much for sharing your picture and your story.
It all comes back to the ground!

Was there a specific lavender that you planted. I am looking for one with the most aroma (scent).

Betty, a high aroma lavender is Grosso, it is considered a lavindin and has nice long stems and strong smell.

Maria - SO beautiful! I can almost smell their fragrance! I'm so sorry for your loss. I am SURE you still have him smiling in Heaven, though! Hugs - Nini

Maria...I could just picture him standing up in Heaven, looking down upon you and smiling and smelling the Lavender from there.
Very pretty pictures! I love Lavender too and I have little sachet's of it all over my house.
blessings and hugs, peggy

Maria,
Beautiful. And what a beautiful, sweet way to honor your Dad. I am sure he is smiling down at you for sure...

Maria,
I am sorry for your loss. The lavender you harvested is beautiful and I am so glad that it has helped to connect you with the memory of your father. Sending thoughts of peace.
