Growing up I had a special purple inked pen that smelled like grapes when you wrote and sometimes kept some of the scent for a few weeks.
I was just playing around looking at some auction sites for antiques that might interest some of the collectors in my family and I ran into a set of pens that had perfumed inks. So I googled perfumed ink.
I found inks that were perfumed or infused with rose scent, mostly used in the early parts of last century.
Doesn't that sound so romantic? Writing a love letter to a guy and either buying a pen that had perfumed in or having perfumed ink for you fountain pen.
I wish this was still a thing today. You can still buy it if you go to specialty websites/stores. I wish today's generations were a bit more romantic! I would have never though of this before today! |
