Hello,
Our neighbor Shaina has had her cancer re occur. Shaina's mom says she was born when the plane hit the twin towers in New York City. she is smart, pretty and determined girl. She has been fighting a blood cancer for more than two years. She apparently received good reports for two months and now has received a cancer is back report. She is back in Boston for more treatments.
She loves to get mail. Her home address is ........
Well CeeJay emailed me and and reminded me that this is a public forum and I should remove Shaina's address and ask people who would like to send her a card to email me for the address.
So, since someone is watching out for my naive trust I am removing the address.

Shaina is so happy and so is her mom. Her mom says she has received 16 packages from all over the country. Thanks so much, everyone for bringing a smile to a little girl.

Shaina's mom says that when they get home from treatment in Boston and are exhausted the mail Shaina is receiving makes them both so happy.

Here are two Facebook posts from Shaina's mom
Shaina's doing good and is on schedule for her bone marrow transplant in early July. We are headed to Boston tomorrow for her pre-op appointment. She's scheduled for surgery in Boston next wednesday the 26th to have her central line placed (for transplant) & ovarian tissue harvest.
THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THE WONDERFUL CARDS…..Shaina loves getting mail now more than ever. It’s a much needed and huge pick me up for her.
Shaina Update from June 5th-Results of repeat scans-Cancer is gone (couldn’t be happier). Clinical trial medication is doing its job. Shaina has begun the second cycle of medication and will be scheduled for surgery to have her port taken out, a central line put in and ovarian tissue harvested at the end of this month, then onto bone marrow transplant in early to mid-July (which includes a 3 month stay in Boston).

Has anyone heard anything about Shaina lately? I have had some farm sisters email me and ask me and to let me know they are still praying for her. I hope she is doing well.
