Hi everyone -
My son's Speech Class assignment today was to listen to me read/present a speech written by another teenager, and evaluate it according to what we are currently learning. I chose this speech concerning a teenage girl's perspective on the dreaded pimple. I just love it, and thought you might enjoy it, too! :) Here is the link if you'd like to check it out:

Nini, what a well written report. I had to giggle at a few of the analogies used. LOL Marly

That's great--would make a great speech for class. And yes, I remember always getting a pimple before something I'd been looking forward to--we didn't do Prom at arts school, but I got a painful pimple just before I was to perform as Clara in the Nutcracker and all I could think of was, "I can't have a hurt pimple!!! Little girls who play with nutcrackers don't GET hurt pimples!!!" As if someone could see it from the back of row of the theater with all that pancake base I had on :)

Loved that essay Nini! Too funny and oh so true! Thank you for sharing it with us. I'll have to have my teenage son read that! Hugs,
