I wanted to update you guys to let you know my sister start's her chemo today. She will be doing the chemo 4 days then off 21 days then 4 days then they will see if it is doing any good if not then she will not take it after this. She will be hooked up to the chemo for 6 hours each of the 4 days. Mom and I were talking yesterday, my sister just got married a couple of months ago. Her husband is taking this real hard, he dosent understand. We (my sister and brother), were raised Assembly of God, my brother is a preacher so my sister went to his church and he prayed for her and she was crying, her husband ask why she was crying. Wanted to know if she was hurting or if something else was wrong. She said mom I didn't know how to explain to him why I was crying. So I believe that when all is said and done my sister is going through this so GOD can work in her husband.
I know this is long but this is the one place for me to talk. Can't talk to much to mom as she gets up set and my dad well that is another story for another day.
I am thankful for all the prayers, and the kind words. GOD Bless each of you. I will be updating as her treaments progress to let you know what is going on.
BLessings and Hugs coming your way. alissa |

Alissa, Prayers are being sent for your sister, you and your family. As others have said, doctors can guess a time frame, but it is up to God. A friend with small children was diagnosed and given an estimate of 9 month. She was able to spend 9 more YEARS seeing her children grow up.
If disease were punishment for evil this would be a far different world, but we need to trust in God's plan. We may never know why good people have to go through such bad times. It might be as simple as drawing people together in love and faith in support of her.
Continue to keep us posted. Susan

Hi everyone just to let everyone know my sister has finished her first 4 days and it will be another 17 days before she takes her next round of chemo. She said she is handling the treatments pretty good. She is not feeling real bad just a little queasy. Doctor told her it would be about the 14t day when it would hit her. Thank you all for the kind words and the prayers they are all appreciated. Blessings and Farm Girl hugs alissa |
