Oh my! I have come down with a bad case of Glamperitis. All I can do is think about my cute little camper and how she will look this spring. I have been ordering new cushions and a mattress. I have fabric swatches all over the place and have ordered a new awning from a fellow Glamper. I have spent way too much of this cold long winter on Google, Pinterest and Etsy! Spring where for out thou!

I have tried several times to contact the person with the vintage 1965 Eljay, and ave gotten no response. I guess it's either old or the person is a scam. Don't know what to think, but all I know is these vintage trailers are few and far between around here, and I am getting discouraged!

One of my neighbors has a Redale but she's not willing to sell. I've got my eye on about 4 other ones in the area . . I just don't want to go by myself to check them out. Need my hubby and some time to do it. So hopefully as spring gets closer!

Laurie,
You have to friend me on Facebook! I will add you to the Vintage Campers for Sale. There are a few of them in your area. This is a Facebook group of Glampers that post vintage trailers for sale all over the country.

Hi Diane,
CJ is right..... I don't have Facebook, I wonder if there is any other way to see the links etc.?
I am on Pinterest, thru twitter. I think I can remember how to access twitter.....does that help at all? I don't use twitter, but had to sign up to get on Pinterest.
I appreciate your help!
Hugs,

Hi April,
Are you a newbie? Did you sign on to the Welcome Wagon page? Sounds like you are a Glamper at heart. Do you you think you will get a vintage trailer and go out on the road?

Oh Diane- What a doll you are to put these links here for me!
I am going to check them out now!
Today on cragislist there was a 1968 Aloha listed. It is fairly close to my neck of the woods, so my hubby is going to check it out either tomorrow or Wednesday while in his travels for work.
We did speak with the owner tonight over the phone and it sounds promising....we shall see!
Here is a link to it:

Laurie,
That one looks very promising! Sounds solid and water tight, just needs to be glamped up! I sure hope it is as good as it looks. Good luck! I hope you get it!

Hello Terri. I have not done that. Thanks for letting me know. I am a Glamper at heart. I always say that if there is a such thing as past lives, I must have been a gypsy because I could be perfectly happy just wandering about. I would love to get a vintage trailer and travel some day!

April,
Just keep hanging out with this group and you will be a full-fledged Glamper very soon. Did you get Mary Jane's book "Glamping" yet? You can get it when you go to "All Forums." Also "Sisters on the Fly" is a wonderful book to get you really hooked on glamping.

Hubby tried to stop and look at it yesterday in his travels, but couldnt locate the correct street b/c they told us it was on BARRY Ave, but turns out it is on BARRIE Ave. So when he put it in the GPS it didnt come up. He isnt anywhere in the area today, so maybe tomorrow.
Hoping it does all work out. For some reason, with this one, I am envisioning a "primitive style" of glamping it up. I think its b/c of the black and gold on the outside, I just see black and tan checked fabric, and accents of a rustic red......I'm already dreaming. A primitive chandelier hung over the table, with the rustic battery operated taper candles in it. I have a TON of primitve style decor, since its one of my favorite styles, so my wheels are spinning.
Fingers crossed that it works out and we can get it for the right price if it is indeed as good as it seems.

Diane- I did love that lil red/white trailer link you sent. The winnebago was cute too.....but they are a distance from me, especially since I am the one who REALLY wants it (hubby is just appeasing me) LOL.

Thanks for all the input and well wishes ladies!1 If it is meant to be it will be!
Hugs,

~Laurie

Laurie,
That primitive style would be so cool in a camper! Crossing my fingers, eyes, toes and whatever else I can cross for you! Isn't it crazy how the bug gets you and you start envisioning and dreaming about your little Glamper?

Well, Hubby went and looked at the "outside" of the trailer yesterdsay, as the owner was not home and it was locked. Said from what he could see outside it looked solid. He peeked in the windows of it and didnt see any "leaks" and we have had heavy rain for the past 2 days. I am hoping we can take a ride and meet up with the owner this weekend and maybe make a deal!
I have to ask my brother or brother in law for help, b/c right now we do not have a hitch on my van to tow it with, so if it works out the next step is figuring out how to get her home.
We shall see.... but so far it seems to be looking pretty good!
Fingers crossed!
