Laurie, How exciting! That little camper looks really good and a decent price! Still hoping you get it! I have been feverishly working on my new cushions and curtains waiting for some warmer weather to tackle the insides. I have to get her finished by Mother's Day for a big Glamper gathering in MI! I also have to get the garden in too!

All of my fabrics are here! Sewing cushion covers today. I am going with black and white with touches of red. Looks good with all my vintage plaid suitcases, pillows and blankets.

Holy Moses Diane, those are adorable. Have you thought of selling things like that to other Glampers? Good job, and so fast! Terri

WOW- I agree with Teri! You have a true talent Diane. The cushions are just beautiful. As for me I may be putting my lil glamper on hold for another year, and be sticking with my tent glampin. The problem I have here is that I really dont have anything to tow it with. My van could handle it, but its my daily car, so not sure I want to go there. And I know me. Once I have a glamper I am not going to be happy just glamping in the backyard with it- I will want to GO! So, I think I may wait this one out. And, as with all things, when it is meant to be, it will be! For now I live vicariously through others as far as an actual "glamper", although I've been known to trick out my tent quite nicely too! LOL
Love the cushions Diane! Hugs,

That trailer you posted the link to, Diane, is adorable!
There is one about that size sitting on an empty lot in town that I've had my eye on. I have no idea what the inside looks like, the outside looks in good shape, just needs new pain job. But I haven't stopped and inquired as I really want my hubby to be with me when I do so, perhaps we can look at it together. It was still there 2 days ago . . . I gotta stop! I've not close enough to know the make of it. CJ

So excited! I got my awning from www.MartisAwnings.com and can't wait to put it on my little camper! She does amazing work and I couldn't have done it myself for the price she charged. Very nice Sunbrella fabric and great finishing. Now if it would only get nice outside so I can paint!

Oh wow, Diane! Your color choice is awesome! How do you sew your cushion covers? Did you have a pattern? In your first pics, I noticed that your old cushions had the same fabric as my little Chloe Camper...that ghastly vinyl puke green with black and orange flowers on the reverse...agh! I am dreaming of a cream and aqua color scheme with pops of red for Chloe.

Love the fabric you picked out for the awning. Marti just sent us samples. We will be ordering one from her soon. Love the camper photos that you posted too. Happy Camping!

Ann, Marti makes great awnings and the price is right! Kathy, How have you been? I have nothing but great memories of you and your family. I did not use a pattern, I just winged it! There are tutorials on the internet if you search for making cushion covers. I agree about the puke green and the old foam is gross too! I got new foam cut and covered with fiberfill from www.foambymail.com. If it would only get a little warmer out so I can paint her ugly faux wood grain paneling! My first Glamper trip is Mother's Day weekend and I am so excited!

OH my goodness...I love the colors. After reading the Glamping book, I really thought about our camping situation. My daughter and I were "married into" my husband camping gear. We've added some things to make it more "girl friendly" as we put it, but I really think I'm going to go beyond making it adaptable and plan some fun things for tent glampin. We have an annual girls camp out on the calendar now, so why not. Getting a camper just isn't feasible right now. I need to worry about getting a new car first. But it's exciting!!
Again, I love the color and pattern choices. Reminds me of my room when I was a teen. I would go to the fabric store with my babysitting money and just buy red, black and white fabric to sew and decorate my room. Makes me smile!

A little sneak peek at my glampers progress. I made some window boxes and planted some Gerbera daisies and petunias. Almost finished with the insides. The picture shows my dinnette corner. I will post more when I am all done! I have my first Glamping trip on Mother's Day Weekend. There are going to be over 30 vintage Glampers going to Warren Dune's State Park in MI. I will post some pictures after the trip. My dear farmgirl friend Siobhan Walker is going to be there with her littlest son. I finally get to meet her in person! I have been working on this camper ever since the weather would allow me to. I am pretty happy with the the outcome so far. I have named her "Fancy"! She may have been born just poor trailer trash, but Fancy is her name!

Diane, I just read this entire post from the beginning to today --- and WOW! What an amazing transition! I have been looking for a trailer for about a year now, and have found a couple but nothing close enough to wear I live. I ended up buying a new vehicle at the end of last year and made sure it was trailer ready for that some day camper I know I will find. You are amazing with paint and fabric and decor -- Fancy is ADORABLE! Good job! I am a huge fan of those colors also. When you first said you were going to paint the wood, I thought, OHNOO.... not painting it??! But I guess I have thought the same thing on some of the campers I have seen out there. I have to say it is waaaaayyyy better painted white, FOR SURE! WOW. Love it!!! I don't know how you can stand the wait! LOL. Have fun on your trip. Hugs, Jo
