I lady I work with asked me to make a twin size rag quilt- I don't know what to charge for it. I purchased the fabric- we put flannel instead of batting in between the squares....so the total for materials was just over $80.00....my mom has been doing all the sewing on it. I have no idea what to charge for it? Any help girls? Thanks
Lori
Gernerosity is giving more than you can, and pride is taking less than you need!
You could go on etsy and see what they are charging for them on there then pick the average amount maybe? Some crafters say a good rule of thumb is the price of the materials x 5 but that sounds like it would be very high in your case. I like to try to get the price of the materials and $10 dollars an hour for the labor sometimes. I usually have to reduce a price on anything just because we live in the boonies in NM where people are used to doing things for themselves and don't really have any need to pay money for art or crafts or livestock.
