I have been sweating so my jeans have rubbed my legs raw. I've tried, lotions, cococnut/jojba oils, aloe vera gel, gold bond medicated powder, vasaline, diaper cream and a&d ointment w/o much relief. Keeping my legs dry has been a challenge since I'm sweating. I know there is something out there to help fix this problem. If you ladies have ideas, I'd be grateful.

Wow. I know how uncomfortable you must be. I had a spell of that several months ago, and went to the dermatologist for help. She recommended Zeasorb powder, sold for "jock itch" (I know, euw). It worked.
Edited to add: She also told me to wear flowing skirts for a while, no jeans, leggings or trousers. Since it was summer, this wasn't too difficult. Might be a little tricker now, but you might be able to find a long denim skirt that would work. |

Oh,that is uncomfortable. I wonder if you are too warm to be begin with to cause sweating, although i always tend to "run a little hot". Perhaps you could wear jeans that are looser? Wonder if that would help. I hope you do find a solution.

I am using the Zeasorb powder. I found some at our rite aid. I will go into town and look for calendula ointment. The sweating is coming from my thyroid. I dont see Dr til next month. I'm trying to keep clean and dry as best I can. I've had 2 showers just today. Thanks for the help.

I always use cornstarch when I get irritated under my breasts or between my legs when its hot. Works like a charm.

I use olive oil and baking soda in the humid summer months when that starts happening to me, I get it on the outside of my thighs and hips where my waist band and sides of my jeans are.

make sure it's not a fungus or yeast, if all those things aren't working it could be yeast.
If it's yeast Nystop powder works really well. (powdered version of nystatin cream).

oh and we use anti monkey butt powder for my son, it was originally designed for bikers (motercycle) because of their getting "chapped" as well. It is powder and has calamine in it too.

Oh dear this sounds so painfull.I know when my daughter had a similar issue she soaked in a warm salt bath, stings like anything but salt is very good for healing i beliieve. Also, make up a few pairs of cotton bloomers that you can wear under your clothes and change them 2 or 3 times a day to help keep you dry. I do hope this helps and you heal soon, hugs Vanessa

I'm using nystatin powder and still having a problem. I just can't afford another dr visit. I just paid $200 to see foot Dr. I'll keep using the powder and showering 3 times a day(as I'm still sweating). All this sweating is from adrenal/thyroid problems I know. I see thyroid Dr in a few weeks, I'll pick his brain to come up with a cure for this. Thanks for all your help!! :)

Hey Tara, I just remembered an old trick a friend of mine used to use. He would rub antiperspirant on his thighs to keep them from sweating and rubbing together when he ran. Hope you're feeling better!
