Hi, Not sure but still dreaming... I am going to talk to my Mom when she gets home in a week and see if she'd like to make the journey with me. |

Helloo everyone! I am excited to have you all! My husband, Ed and I so enjoyed our farmgirls who stayed with us in 2011 and we are looking forward to seeing you all again and meeting new faces. June weather here can be temperamental; beautifully warm and sunny or damp and gloomy so come prepared for whatever. Our house is small, but you are welcome to use the shower and the washer/dryer. We have a coffeepot that makes coffee in 3 mins and an electric kettle for tea. Feel free to use the kitchen stove for food prep if you need it as well. We have an extra fridge in Eds' shop for your use. I will have cinnamon rolls and other baked breads for you to enjoy.
We can go for walks or go into town and go junking. My 11 year old daughter, Mia, will have a softball tournament in town while you are here, so if you are a fan of the game, there will be plenty to watch. We live about 10 miles from town in every direction, but have a convenience store about 3 miles from the house. There is also an amusement park very close by and Mia has a pass that will get her and 2 guests in, so if her game schedule permits and you love roller coasters.... http://www.silverwoodthemepark.com/ Ed gets up at 3 am for work and is always up early on weekends, so please know that you can come in early for a cup of coffee by the woodstove if it is chilly. He has Fridays off, so he will probably be around to charm you all, depending on Mias' tourney schedule. Hank the Cowdog (chocolate lab) is super friendly and will escort you to and fro. He is not a watch dog; he should have been a WalMart greeter, really. We have a fire pit for fire watching and bull slinging in the eves. And I am one of 'those women' who own more wine glasses than coffee cups...
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to msg me thru this site. I think CJ put my email addy/phone number in the email she sent out, that works great as well. I will try to get some pics uploaded for you so you can have an idea of where you will be. But most importantly, just know that you are so welcome and we are looking forward to seeing/meeting you!

Kathy, I just got home today from glamping in Arizona with CJ and Robin, and had such a fantastic time. You have no idea how badly I want to come to Idaho too, but between, costs, my 2 young children and how far from New York it is, I am doubtful that I will make it. However...I have not given up all hope, so we shall see I know I would just love to meet you, your farmgirl kindness is oozing through your wonderful post, and it is clear how welcoming and warm you home is. I just want to say thank you for offering your hospitality, and I am hoping that one day I will get to experience it first hand! Hugs,

Kathy, I have nothing but fond memories of you and your family from my adventure in 2011! Give Hank a big squeeze for me. So wish it had worked out for me to join you all, but alas I have a Glamping adventure the weekend before and my garden will not allow me to be gone for too long.

Oh thanks, Diane! I still have that hat...and was proudly wearing it when I saddled up the 72 Chevy and Chloe Camper for my maiden camp trip last August. Driving that old truck and wearing that hat, I totally rocked it!

Laurie, I would love to meet you, so keep your hopes up! And Grace, we are practically 'neighbors' in the Idaho sense...haha. I look forward to meeting you soon.

Oh my wheels are a turnin and I am so excited, but trying to contain myself until I know for sure that its definately a possibilty. It is looking GOOD though! Hi Michelle! I plan on flying into Spokane from JFK airport. I will pack up my tent and goodies and head west! I am super excited. I was lucky enough to get to go out to Arizona last month and meet up with CJ and Robin, and had such an amazing experience! Things like this dont come around too often, and life is short, so I am going for it! (thankfully I have a wonderful hubby who is behind me all the way and so supportive!) It would be great if you could come along Michelle! Hugs,

Wow! I just found this thread. I will miss it by not even 2 weeks I'm flying into Boise to see my brothers and intern my mothers ashes, on May 14th and staying until the 26th. Would love to have joined up with all of you!! If there are any farmgirls in and or around the area I would love to meet up and spend some farmgirl time with you. Let me know!
