I'm looking for a crochet pattern that mimics the red shawl that Caroline wears on Little House on the Prairie.

I just finished a knitted pattern, quite like it, but it's too small for me.

Does anyone have one you could share with me?

I do have a pattern that looks alot like the one on Little House. I will send it to you in the mail, as soon as I find it.

Thanks again. The knitted one I did fit my 11 year-old perfectly. I love the style, but would like to have one for myself (crocheted).

Oh! I would love to have a pattern of that as well.
Would you mind sharing it with me...

That does look like the red one that Caroline wears on the show. Easy to do, and you can make it any size you want. Hope you like it.

Guess what?

I started mine. I'll share it as soon as it's finished. I could not decide on color, so I am using a pewter colored yarn. I may have to make a few more of these in different reds, white and maybe brown too.

I am on my 4th skein now, so I hope to have a photo soon.

My question to Janet, I couldn't quite make out the letter of the hook to use, so I am using H. Was it K or H? Thanks.

I may make a few more of these. Hubby told me it "looks beautiful"

Hi Kristina, It says an H, but I have made a lot of them with a J. I do prefer a larger one, both for my arthritic hands, and also a looser stitch. I am sure any size would work. I am so glad you like the pattern. It is old, so when I copy it, it is not real clear anymore. I need to retype it.

I finished it! I absolutely love it Janet! Thank you so much. I already have a farmgirl asking if I'd make one for sale. I have wanted one like this for years. Thank you again!

I'll have a close-up photo on my blog tomorrow.

I did the fringe in 10 inch lengths, then trimmed the ends. Love it, love it, love it!!
