I like the idea of any star pattern done in R-W-B. A 12" block, right?

My blocks are still in the process, sorry for the delay. I will try to finish them this weekend. Melinda
I have not opened the quilt blocks that I have received yet, I can't wait to do so, but putting it off till I get mine done. To all those who have sent me a block, I'm sure they are all great and I'm excited to see them.
Goats birthing season has taken more of my time than expected. Bought the fabric in Feb. if that tells you anything. LOL |

Those of you that are ready GO. I think we have 9 now which is not a bad number. I have been trying to put in the garden so really haven't put in the time this needs but I think it is safe for 9 blocks right now.

I was amazed at the many different stars there are out there...Lemoyne, Stars and Cubes, Morning Star, Sawtooth, Rising Star, Star of Bethlehem, 54-40 or Fight, Ohio Star, Blazing Star, Tangled Star, Six-Point...wouldn't it be great if everyone chose a different star? Just a thought....I didn't even list the two that I'm considering and custom is even a cool idea. Anyway!! Have a great day everyone!!! :)
My best to all, Mel

I would love to participate in the fourth of July swap. Yes, I know you are all asking where is my spring block. They should be in the mail by the weekend. I have eight completed just need to finish the last four. No excuses here I just waited until the last minute and then time just got away from me. Sorry.

Shanda, got your block today love the pattern and colors you used. It will go well with the other blocks. Nettie, Don't worry about being a little late with your blocks, The time just flies by when your busy doing things especially this time of year when you want to be outside enjoying the nice weather, at least it does with me when I'm in my flower gardens.

Girls!
I have found my block: Northumberland Star - I cannot just remake the same star that is advertised (color scheme) - I always have to make it harder by creating my own color scheme. Does anyone else have this issue!

I'm glad y'all got them. The last batch is going out Monday. (I missed the post office Friday) Happy Mother's Day Ladies!
p.s. I may have to make 2 of every star I send out, one for y'all and one for me. I love them all!

LOL Amy, my challenge will be getting the points and lines to match up right. the all squares was just a practice run... my first pieced project. points? ugh. I hope i can do this.. and well I AM going to do it. I apologize in advance if they don't turn out as well as you seasoned quilters. But i am persistent and will conquer my fears :) HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY EVERYONE!

Marti, I am a beginner as well. I love the challenge and being a part of a group helps me to stay accountable and on target. You will do fine!
Terri, No worries -Red, white and blue will be the colors - just changed up a bit!
