Well, Holy Cow!!! I have the entertaining cats, the snakes, alligators, and I can make sweet tea. Come on down! And- yes, I do think my cats are beautiful and handsome. Moon has an issue about being called beautiful. LOL.

Marly,
I had a cat named Pepper too. She was a tortoise shell and a little smaller than some cats but brave as the day is long. She loved to sit on top of the door for a bit then jump to another tall piece of furniture like an entertainment center when she felt like it.
Love these kitties.

Terri: My Pepper is a tuxedo girl cat. She is weird, but I love, love, love her. One of the MJF friends mailed me a Christmas gift, and in the package she included small mices. I gave the outside cats three of them. Pepper took each one, drug them to the deck by the lake, and dropped each mouse in the lake. I scooped them out, dried them off. The next day there they were again, floating in the lake. Now what do you think that's about? I'm still trying to figure that one out. Maybe she thinks the fish in the lake will come around the mouse then she can attack the fish. She is a hoot! If I'm not up by 9 AM, that Pepper rat-cat will get on the roof over my bedroom and MEOW so loud.

Today's little gift is feeding the birds of winter. This feeder hangs
in my kitchen window and they finally got used to me gawking at them.
Notice that it is snowing, the fourth snowfall in as many days.

Marly, too funny. I found a toy mouse in my cats' water dish. I can't figure out which one of the two did it but I can guess.

Diane, beautiful picture!!! I have House Finches feeding even in the rain. They are so brave. Have you tried the black oily sunflower seeds for them? They love them.
I love you guys. Keep sharing.

Terri,
I have five feeders and the black oil sunflower is a favorite of all, especially the squirrels!

Diane,
I too love to feed the beautiful birds.
As I shoveled around to the rabbit hutch today I was able to have my son pass the birdseed out my bedroom window so I could fill the feeders on the side of the house.
I could not believe that they were empty in less than 2 hours!
We got so much snow its hard for the birds to find food, so it is especially important to keep filling the feeders!

Such a blessing to see the birds and hear them sing everyday!

Todays afternoon sky just as the sunset:

Mind you I snapped this as I went out to dig out AGAIN from the plows! GRRRRRR. At least I had something pretty to look at!

Very nice sunset made even more beautiful with the snow! We had lots of snow but freezing rain today just makes a slushy mess.

Diane,
We are expecting freezing rain overnight, followed by all rain all day tomorrow. Should prove to be quite an interesting mess! Ugh.

Very Cool! I had carrots grow into crazy shapes in my garden too, but never in the shape of a heart!
Neat-o!

Today I am grateful for nature and the promise of spring.
This photo I took early last spring at the Botanical Gardens where I volunteer.
